Good morning crew -

Had a threatening not-quite migraine all day yesterday after neuro appointment - light & sound sensitivity got quite intense - made it hard to watch a movie with the guys - tho Danny was very nice and got out a lamp from the basement that throws the light up so it's not coming down in my eyes. And we had the sound lower than they were happy with but they indulged me - it was good to hang out with them.

Mild HA this morning - not enough to stop me from being active, but enough to worry me. The more I think about it, the more unhappy I am with the neuro from yesterday. I have zero guidance on how to deal with recent almost daily headaches - my pattern has changed but he never stopped long enough to find out. If I don't watch out I'll have to move this to the vents folder.

I'm planning to straighten up the family room where Adam has been lying around sick and made a mess - get some writing done - laundry of course - and get out for a walk. It's cold but sunny and really nice. Sun glasses and baseball cap and earmuffs and I'll be set! Going up to see Mom & Dad tomorrow or Monday.

If I can keep my head quiet we'll probably head to Philly for a museum or the zoo on the other day. Not the Franklin Inst, tho (Adam's favorite) - science museums tend to trigger me. Last Imax film I'll ever see was at Franklin Inst 5 years ago - 3 stories high light & sound curved on a dome - that was a doozy of a migraine.

Now I'm heading to make some French toast from the rest of a big baguette we had Thurs - yum. Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning, everyone. I have coffee, not tea today.

Went to the Bible study last night and as I stepped out of the car I stepped right into a huge area of mud. I had no choice but to walk through it. So, I spent Bible study in sock feet and went home that way! Dh knocked the chuncks off this morning and I just got done scrubbing them.

I was awake off and on all night. Dh has a shoulder that he had surgery on and it makes him sleep different now. With that and the cpap, I feel like most nights he takes up most of the bed and it's a queen size bed! 7:30 came too early today.

I know I'm going to do laundry, go to the grocery store and clean the bathroom. Dh has elder duty tonight at 5 p.m. but the rest of us will go to church tomorrow, and we're going out to eat tonight after dh gets home. I got a ton of coupons for my birthday from an advertiser - everything from Italian to Mexican to Chinese/Vietmanese food!

I've already had my tea.

The first thing I need to do is get off the internet! Then I hoped to go visit my father at the nursing home, at least briefly. After that, I must get the paperwork together for his taxes, and deliver it to the accountant. That is mandatory!

So, time for me to get moving. I hope you all have a good day.

Good morning everyone!

Boy, you all sound like you have some nice plans for the day!

I just returned from the pediatrician's office--my little one needed an antibiotic (rotten sore throat and croupy cold). When I got home, my older son was sitting on the sofa shivering. He's got asthma and the same croupy cough and cold. Now he's running a fever of 104. Frowner We are all tired here. Both kids got up several times last night. It brought back memories of when they were babies! (I remember rocking my son in his bedroom when he was a baby and just SOBBING because I was so exhausted and he was wide awake! Ah, the "good" old days...)

Not sure how the day will go. The boys are supposed to see the Monster Jam monster truck show later today. Unfortunately, I really don't think anyone in this house will be making the show. I haven't said that yet, though. They've been looking forward to it for weeks! They will be very disappointed (and I'll definitely be the bad guy) when they hear they need to stay home. Thumbs Down

Well, I'm going to play nurse again. I have some motrin liquid to deliver to the little ones!

Have a happy, healthy Saturday everyone!

What is it with all the sick people? My DS had some sort of virus/bacterial infection with high fever that wasn't the flu. He managed fine off at school without mom. He doesn't have a Presidents Day holiday. Instead, he has a skills test in his computer networking course. He planned a trip home for a late Valentines with his girlfriend, but between his test hand her having the flu, that weekend has been postponed.

Lazy morning today. I was awake at a good time but lolled in the bed for awhile. DH and I sat on the bed and drank coffee and listened to NPR and scratched the dog. Sparky started a game of Bad Dog on the floor with DH, the first time is several weeks. Sparky gets more and more arthritic and has trouble getting comfortable. I'm not sure how well the tramadol is working.

I've been very derelict with my walking. We're having a break in the rain, and I ought to go. I'm sure that only walking 3 days a week is contributing to the plateau I'm finding in the lower 170s.

We're going out to supper tonight, to celebrate Valentines and my birthday, which was the 3rd. Then lunch at my mom's tomorrow to celebrate all 5 family February birthdays.

Talk about being sick. With 6 kids, somebody was always sick on your birthday. With birthdays on the 3rd, the 15th, the 18th, and the 26th, Mama says she never left the house in February.

Success story! Yesterday was between 0 and 1/2. My energy wasn't all that great, but I got a good bit done, and I didn't hurt. Violated my Good Sleep Hygiene and took a nap with the dog.

Have a great day!

Not much going on here.

We had house cleaning this morning (joy and rapture), assorted computer stuff to do, and that's about it.

Kind of an uneventful, yet busy day.

Hi all. We are not doing much here either. My parents came up for a while today and now we are just sitting around. Tomorrow for the laundry and taxes, ick.

I don't know what it is about everyone being sick. We've hardly got any work done in our division because almost everyone came down with the flu at varing times. And there were strains of other things going around and most of DH's family has been sick too. It's been a lousy winter for illnesses so far.

Hello again -

Sorry so many folks have been sick! Adam is better from his strep and the rest of us seem to be okay. Fingers Crossed

We got our tax stuff together - mostly. Will finish tomorrow when our brains have recovered from the strain. Hair Raising Had a nice long chilly walk. Kimi came back belly covered in mud and I had to leave her in the mud room until she dried off. Why dogs can't wash themselves like cats I will never understand... I have had a mild HA all day but it got some better when I stayed up and was active - a good reminder!

Had yummy leftovers all day - french toast from leftover baguette, chicken salad from leftover roast chicken, and fried rice with leftover rice & porkchop! It makes me happy to use things up and not waste them - I know, I have weird pleasures.

I hope you all have a good night and feel better if you're not well (gee, if you're well, you could even feel better - feel Great!)

Going to watch a movie now with D Big Grin

I'm down to 25 mg topamax (tapering down) and just starting on namenda. So for whatever reason, last night I actually slept all night. Haven't done that in a while.

I ran to KMart to grab a few things. I did some laundry. I waited for a few things I was selling on ebay to end and then I boxed them up to ship out on Monday.

I took pictures of some clothes that are too small that I am going to sell on ebay this week.

I watered my plants.

I talked using iChat with my husband in Korea. (he's there on a trip)

I feel so different today. I have a mild headache but I feel like the fog has lifted. I feel very clear headed for the first time in several months. Even though I am a bit tired (from starting on namenda) and my head is hurting a little, I feel more like myself than I have in a long time. Also, I have my taste buds back. The tuna salad sandwich I had for lunch was delicious! I hadn't realized how topamax had affected me. I'm not depressed anymore either. I feel like ME!

Crying Hope everyone gets well soon. They said on the news that this flu season is a killer!
