Good morning everyone!

It's been a few days since I have been on, I hope everyone is doing great. I was sick and then spent some time with the family for the Easter weekend.

The kids are off from school this week so we will be running around and doing some cool stuff as the ol' noggin allows Wink

DH is going out of town for a week or two today so we need to get him packed and head out to the airport in a little bit. The icky part (aside from him being gone) is the drive to and from the airport is going to be jam packed with traffic. Hair Raising

Have a great day everyone!!

Good Morning,
Laura I hope the weather cooperates for your kids being off for break. My kids are in school this week and off next. Garrett does start early as they have a baseball tourneyment out of town and he gets to leave Thursday noon for that. I hope the old noggin cooperates both with spring break and DH being gone.

Easter was very nice. During the afternoon after church my girlfriend came over and we watch basketball, knit and I baked stuff for dinner. Very pleasant. Today it's back to work. Thumbs Down

I'm still trying to decide if I should look for other work or wait out stuff with my company. After 10 years with one company I'm not trilled to go job hunting. Mad

Take care everyone. Hope I can peak in later.

Cindy

Good morning. No tea today - chocolate easter eggs.

I think I'm getting sick - I woke up with a sore throat and a slight migraine. I've already taken my tablespoon full of garlic, but I think I'm too late. Thank goodness the house is in spectacular order, I really only need to do one load of laundry.

We still have snow on the grass, Kath's car, various items in the yard, etc. Crazy Easter weather.

Dh sent me an interesting article about how Easter is set each year. Check this out if you're intersted: Easter Timing

It certainly explains our snow yesterday.

Laura have fun with the kids this week. Mine to back tomorrow.

Cindy, I love to knit. I hope you come to a decision soon on your job.

Hi everyone!

I'm heading out with the kids to go to the aviary and the children's museum today. It's their last day off for the Easter break, so we're gonna make the most of it!

I had a crummy weekend. The nerve block gave me 2 weeks of pain free time--YAY!! Big Grin But the migraine came back with a vengeance on Friday. I could barely crawl out of bed all weekend long. I went to Easter dinner at my in-laws (trying to keep at least some appearance of normality) but raced out of there, came home, and threw up. Stayed in bed after that. This morning, I feel good. Not even post-dromey. Weird. But I'll certainly take it!

Laura, I'm sorry DH is going out of town. But I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll feel well all week and do lots of fun things with the kids! Fingers Crossed

Cindy, it sure is tough to decide if it's time to leave a job...especially when you've been with the company for 10 years!! Sending out some positive cyber-vibes for you... Smiler

Deb, I'm sorry--you're not allowed to get sick. Devil You'll have to tell that cold or flu or whatever it is that we said GO AWAY!!! Maybe if you have another chocolate egg, you'll feel better...Megs always calls it "medicinal chocolate," doesn't she? Wink

Thinking of you today! Have a happy Monday!

Hey all. The exciting news for today is that I have my HA specialist appointment this afternoon after lunch. I feel prepared for it - I have my monthly summary pages from my HA diary ready (plus I'm bringing my detailed diary with me, which I didn't do last time), I have my list of questions and updates since my last visit, and DBF is coming with me for the first time so he can ask any questions if he wants to. Plus I'm FINALLY going to ask about PTC - Eileen, I know you know what I'm talking about!! Hopefully I can get some answers today, or at least get started on the path toward some answers. I'll post an update once I get back.

My weekend felt lazy, but was probably good for my head. I increased my Topamax dose last week to 75 mg and the side effects are starting to hit me pretty hard, mainly in combo with the nortriptyline - nausea, stomachache at night after I take the nortrip. And tremors! Ugh. Which were bad enough last night that I had trouble falling asleep. Definitely talking to my doc about this. And the Topa tingle in my legs is just about constant now! The nausea has gotten better though. Still feel sort of woozy and shaky though - I hope this passes. I'm still feeling hopeful about the Topa but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to tolerate this higher dosage - it's a higher one than I've been on before.

I started knitting a new scarf this weekend, one for my mom for Mother's Day. It's a complicated pattern but I think it should turn out well. My favorite yarn store had a huge sale this weekend so I went on Saturday and splurged on a whole bunch of yarn - I'm stocked up for the year! Now I have lots of projects to work on.

Laura, hope your head holds out for your kids' spring break.

Cindy, sounds like you had a nice Easter! I hear you on being back at work today! Thumbs Down

Deb, hope you can fight off your cold.

Jenny, sorry to hear the beastie got you this weekend, but glad you're doing better today.

Guess I should get to work. Hope everyone has a great Monday! Heart

Hi, everyone!

I finally broke the migraine yesterday. Five days long this time. Started the day I was supposed to get my period, which still hasn't come, so no surprise I got hammered.

Hoping to make it two in a row today. Nothing much else going on.

Good day, all.

Hi All..

Popping in to send out well wishes to everyone.

I had my appointment today with my HA Spec. Didn't go as I would have liked, but then again it never does. I won't complain, I just keep reminding myself that I have an appt at Jefferson in May.

Have a good Monday!

Hope all of you that are under the weather are much better soon.

Me, I'm much better now than I was this morning. See, yesterday I did a bad, bad thing. We had family over for Easter dinner, and afterward when we were all gathered in the living room, I did the stretched out on the floor think with my head propped up against the end of the sofa. I haven't done that in a while, and it wasn't such a spiffy idea, since I've been flaring a bit fibro-wise. By last night after everyone left, I was one hurting unit back-wise and shoulder-wise. My Soma didn't touch it, and neither did my Lortab, which also made me not sleep so great. I wasn't up for much of anything but sofa time, so I didn't even turn on the puter. Instead I watched Atonement, which was pretty good, I thought.

Much of this morning I felt deeply and profoundly achy all over, as if an entire fleet o' Mack trucks had smooshed me. I also found myself easily chilled and feeling vaguely out of sorts in general. We do have a fair bit of influenza going through school, and lots of hacking and coughing kids, but since I'm somewhat less achy this afternoon, and not headachy at all, I think it's just good ol' fibro flaring. I'm refusing to take anything stronger than aspirin today, and when I get home from my haircut tonight, I'm going to crash with my rice bag and probably go to sleep early tonight. No big plans for me.

Droolie,

I know those fibro flares well. Even before I was diagnosed, my DH and I used to joke about the Mack truck that hit me in the night!

A good night's sleep will surely help.

Sweet dreams!

I posted about my visit in the Doctors & Clinics folder. It went well, but I'm not feeling overly happy at the moment. Frustrated with the medical field, I guess. Not really my doc's fault though.

I think I'm going to do some knitting tonight and try to relax. G'night all.
