Morning everyone!
We made it through hump day and it's almost the end of the week. Yesterday was OK once I got past the morning rush. My newbie did super yesterday afternoon by herself so I think today will be my last late day! YIPEE!! I stayed yesterday and will again today, but I move to a back desk and let her handle everything. I'm just there in case she gets totally swamped. It was super nice to pick up the boys and come home and stay. No one had karate last night so we all got to stay home. DH had to work late, but he was home by 7. I slept OK last night, but still not good. Still having issues getting the Singulair back in my system enough to keep me OK through the night without needing an inhaler. The issues isn't with my insurance, it's dr/boss up to his usual tricks and refusing to give me a script! At least he gave me some samples yesterday and I now have enough to get me to my reg. docs appt. on the 13th. I know he'll give me samples or a script. I'll just be glad to breathe again without having to hit a rescue inhaler. Heather-I hope you were able to get some info from the gastro guy and get some relief. Dawn-Geeze! What a terrible time you're having! I hope you can rest and get some strength back soon. Take it easy~! Alura- Gotta go or I'll be late again. I hope everyone is AWAP and getting better from all of the hurting we all seem to be dealing with. Lynn |

Yes, we've made it to Thursday. Here's hoping to a good day for all.
I called the gastorenterologist's office. Got an actual person and told them that I needed to make an appointment. She then forwarded the call. It went straight to someone's voicemail. UGH! I left a detailed message telling the person that I needed to be seen because I've been in pain for 3 weeks now. If I don't hear back from them by 10:00 this morning, I'm going to call again. I went to their website and downloaded their patient forms. I have them all filled out. My pain medicine works to help take the pain away but only for about 5 hours. Seems like about 2:00 or so the pain returns to full power. I don't want to take another one because I leave at 4:30 and I need to be able to drive. I'm trying to stay positive, but it sure is hard. How's this: I'm positive that I'm tired of waiting. LOL Lynn, I'm glad the new person is working out for you. I hope you get your asthma under control. I have asthma, too, but not as bad as you do. Take care. Well, I need to get working. Hope all have a good day today. Heather Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardship as the pathway to Peace. |

Morning all....
Had another good nights sleep, but I woke up with back pain again! I also have a massage booked for Friday Today will be same old, same old. Except I won't get to take my nap today. Lynn: Heather: I'm sorry you are in so much pain. I hope you get a call back ASAP. Can you maybe take a half a pill at 2 and be okay to drive? I know all too well how hard it is to balance not being in pain yet still able to function. Eileen: If your place is pricey, find a local school. That is where I'm going. Well, I need to get some work done. Be AWAP today |

Kat/Kelly, my pain pill is too small to cut in half. But that is a good suggestion. BTW, everytime I see your screen name (Katinthe corner) it makes me think of cats in the craddle. I don't know why. I like that song, even though, it is really a sad song. Glad to hear your new bed is working our dreamly. Get it, dreamly! LOL I know, I'm a dork.

Good morning.
Still coughing, it's slowly getting better. The dark chocolate isn't working this time, darn. I have a follow up with the dematologist today and I'm going to question her on her folliculitis diagnosis. Everything I've read said it's an infection and you get pus filled pimples. I get fluid filled blisters. The nurse doing the scheduling says she double books and I felt very rushed last time. Since I didn't have a clue about folliculitis, I couldn't question her. I can today. Nikoli is going to a Halloween mixer after school - he is quite the little joiner. I like it. Lynn, I'm glad your new person is working out. Heather, I hope you get into the gastro MD soon. Kelly, ewwww on the disk popping out and back in! We're getting ready for more rain. Deb [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/] |

Good news-DH's ultrasound came back normal! His labs are still pending, but nothing with liver or gallbladder. Sometimes it is nice to work for our doc and I can pull the reports as soon as they are ready.
That made the day better! lynn |

I feel like today is a repeat of Tuesday....or was it Monday....they are all blurring together.
Woke up with a Migraine again. I am starting to really hate NJ weather. We have had rain/pressure/grossness for the last week. I can't take it!! I made a cheesecake for a party tomorrow. I am just hoping I can still make it. Tonight is dinner at the in-laws. We are carving pumpkins with my SIL. I am not really a fan of pumpkin carving, but I will go to watch her do it. World Series game 2 tonight. Hope the Yanks do better. Hope I get some sleep! I was able to get an appointment with the specialist (gastroentrologist). Originally, they told me the first available appointment wasn't until December 1. I about flipped out. Then, I told the lady that my doctor had faxed over some paper work. She put me on hold to speak with the nurse. When she came back on, she told me that she could get me in to see the doctor on Nov. 10 or 17.
I pleaded with her to see if I could get in any sooner. I explained that I have been in pain for three weeks now. She said that appointment is a work in appointment. After I hung up the phone, I started crying out of frustration. I called my primary doctor and left a message for the nurse to call me. I'm going to see if they can get me a sooner appointment with the specialist. I just don't know what to do any more. I don't know how to get it through these doctors' heads that I AM IN PAIN! You can bet if it was one of them or their family member they'd be seen a lot sooner. BTW, it is now raining outside, again. Well, you know what is NOT fun? I had to get DS#2 from school and while returning to work, I stopped at a red light to make a right hand turn-and got rear ended! No damage to my truck or the other guys, but then when I slowed down to turn into the office-with blinker going-the same guy almost hit me again! He had to slam on the breaks to keep from it. Geeze Louise-what is it?

Lynn, glad no one was hurt. Perhaps, that guy doesn't need to be driving.
My PCP's nurse called me right back. She got me an appointment with another GI doc at another location for next Tuesday. I'm so thankful. That's a whole week earlier than the other. Now, I just need to make it another 5 more days. Heather Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardship as the pathway to Peace. |

I'm having one of "those" days. The migraine arrive in full force about 8ish and I finally dragged my miserable self out of bed by 9 to go find meds. The Axert only took a small chunk out of the pain. So I resorted to fioricet a couple hours later to try and chase some more of it away. I already had to cancel my kids swim lessons for the morning and I REALLY needed to be functional by 6 pm. My daughter has a Girl scout party to go to and since she's only 6 yo I have to be there.
Lynn - I'm glad the Singulair seems to be helping. Sounds like working for dr/boss is mixed blessing. Kelly - I need to go get a massage too. Maybe next week. In the meantime I have an appt with my accupuncturist tomorrow. At least that should guarantee a couple days of feeling good. Eileen - You could send some cheesecake my way Amy |

Hi again...
I'm trying to dodge working. I have to stay on late b/c I missed 2 hours for my pain management appt. I don't know how other pain management docs are, but this guys is only useful for pain meds. He doesn't know anything about physical medicine. I'm glad now that my disc is back in today was my last visit. Heather: I'm soooo glad to hear you were able to get in somewhere else Deb: Are they little clusters of tiny blisters filled with clear fluid? I have that on my hands and feet. It's eczema. Just throwing it out there.... And yeah, I can feel the disc pops. Sometimes I hear them. That is EWWWWW! Eileen: You can send cheesecake my way too!!! LOL. I'm sorry your head is hurting. I'm really surprised mine is not today.... Feel better Lynn: You are just not having a good week! Amy: Sorry you aren't getting any releif from your meds. I'm glad to hear you'll get a couple of good days from acupuncture. I was thinking about doing that, but my insurance won't cover it. Ugggghhh... I just want this day to be over!!! TTYL Kel |

Hi Guys -
I had a really long day yesterday with Continuing Legal Ed courses at 8 am and 6 pm and tons of running around in between, meeting clients & doing research, and then had to write something up for a client back here. I never got on the forum. The great news was that I had plenty of energy for it all. I could hardly believe it - and this was on top of three Migraine days in a row, the days before that! Today I'm tired, though. Adam's still home - he has only had lo-grade fevers the past couple of days, but he can't go back to school until he's fever-free for 24 hours. No fever so far today, so I'm hoping! My sleepy head has been to the store & worked 5 hours, sent out some work to a client and still has a couple more things to do before I can call it quits. I'd rather just nap... I read all your posts, please forgive me for not replying right now. I'll try to do that later. Be well, Megan |
