Good morning gang!

I hope everyone has woken up feeling well and ready to celebrate the weekend Smiler

I still have not deep cleaned or colored my hair. But, I did play outside in the dirt yesterday and it finally shows, hooray! I planted some annuals, ok, to me, it is a lot because it took so long to work around the roots of the tree. LOL I'll be doing the same later because it is going to be in the 70's and sunny.

Tomorrow brings the tough weather. Hopefully me brain won't notice Wink

Happy Friday!!

Yay Friday!!!

I had a slight visual aura this morning when I was getting ready for work. I'm thinking that I'm going to take a Skelaxin, just to be on the safe side. I feel some tightness on my left side. Up the neck into the 'ol eye socket. Not migraine yet, but I want to nip it in the bud now - because my ticker has been looking so nice lately! I'd like to see it go past two weeks!!!!!!!

I have never had an aura like this kind (that's what I think it was at least) I was putting the gunk in my hair and in my periferal vision I see what I can only describe as water lines. It looked like when you throw a stone in water and the water ripples? This is a new one for me.

Ok - so the Skelaxin is now in. Let's hope that is it. If I start to feel any more type of anything, I'm going to be so on top of this baby you have no idea. So help me, I'm not resetting this darn ticker! Devil

Well, enough of that! It's Friday everyone!!!! Yippee!!!!! I hope by now you've all responded to you AHDA letter!!! If not you all are going to get one heck of a penguin slap! Not only from Teri but from all of us here! So move your butts and get on it! Yes, I say this with love you know! Big Grin Wink

Hope you all enjoy your Friday. I'm looking forward to a noneventful weekend! Hey, it has to be better then last weekend with the hot water heater fiasco!

I know we are going to have bad weather tomorrow - so I'm thinkin just staying in and cleaning and movies. That'd be good for me.

Have a great day all! Big Grin

Good Morning Everyone,
This going back to work thing is tough. It's either the tea room or other folders....

Laura I would take digging in the dirt, even pulling weeds over house cleaning any day. I'd stay out there as long as the weather holds. DBF and I are going the San Francisco Garden and Flower Show tomorrow. I can't wait. The display gardens are too wonderful. I dream over the greenhouses. He's never been before. Normally a girlfreind and I go. She could not come down this year.

Eileen while the waterlilly's sound like a lovely aura, I hope the migraine does not manifest and you can enjoy your Friday and move right on into the weekend.

I need to get to work!! Take care everyone.

Cindy

Good morning!

Eileen I'm crossing my fingers for you, your head, your ticker... Fingers Crossed. You've been on a great run.

And I'm agreeing with Eileen about AHDA - if you haven't taken action yet, stop reading now and go click this link! AHDA Less than 5 minutes to make a big difference, I promise!

Laura I wish I could see your annuals. I'm kind of yearning for pansies - though the last time I tried to plant them this early, it was like planting in ice cream! This year maybe more like semi-frozen soup. Eileen's right, we're about to get way more rain so it'll be more of an indoor focus weekend.

Cindy good luck with work and enjoy the flower show.

Interesting experience this morning - I went to my weekly Fri. morning business networking group. I'm shifting what I talk about there from Business Coaching to Migraine Management Coaching - I'm still doing both, but I'm way more interested in working more and more with migraineurs. So I emailed everyone in that group last week about my blog and my e-course web site. So I walk in today and several people come over and say "how ARE you? Are you okay? Are you feeling okay?" They're sweet, and concerned, and they care, it's just that it's not the point. I guess I'm in an education process with them. So I just say, "I'm feeling great!" which happens to be true today and go on to talk about how they can help me help people, which is what we're there for (not for analyzing my migraines).

I'm sorry if I'm going on too long about this; I'm going to have to do a blog post on it later today! It's just interesting being "out" about this... some people are going to be right there with me, others are going to want to "help" me and make me better, rather than thinking about who else they might know with Migraine that they can spread the word too, others are going to do the dismissive thing. I also sent them the AHDA link - why not? So they can point their helpfulness in a helpful direction!

Onward & upward. I'm feeling good today. Woke up in a clean house. Heaven! Hope you're all feeling well too.

Good morning to everyone.

It must be cleaning day because I have the same thing on my schedule. I usually try to do a little each day so it doesn't build up, but this week I had too much paperwork to keep up with. I'll start by finding the counters and the bottom of the laundry hampers and go from there. It's always interesting with the girls helping (ages 2 & 4).

After a few days of TTH and a migraine, this morning seems somewhat uncertain. I just have a level 2 that could go either way. I have high hopes that I can distract it with the dull housework I'll be doing.

I had a good appointment with my HA specialist Monday. We made some changes to my medications this time, so hopefully I can see more improvement in my headache chart soon.

My father's radiation went well. Thumbs Up He also had an SRS radiation treatment last week (laser brain surgery). He gets a break now and the radiation will continue to work on those tumors--amazing. Please keep him in your prayers.

Eileen, I hope you can divert your migraine today. Fingers Crossed

Laura, I love to play in the dirt too. It's therapy. If it rains at least you'll have water for your yard!

I'm procrastinating, I have to go clean. Happy Friday!

Liz

Mornin yall!

Eileen, glad ya beating the beastie! OH and ya dont need to penguin slap me! I sent my letter on Wed. Wink

Liz, keepin your father in my prayers! Glad things are going well!

Megs, my my such language Big Wink Tee heee.

Well STILL migraney today, its not been a good week. Been having a hard time all week trying to figure out if im post-dromey or heading back into the aura to headache phase. Know what I mean? Like all light headed, spacey, dizzy a bit, nausea off and on but only mild head pain. monday was bad tuesday was postdrom wed. back to migraine again, and since then Im "in and out". just yuck but not bedridden.
Almost like the silent migraine where Im stuck in Aura for days on end. The pain is muted enough to ignore.

Anyway, got another busy day today, Get to help run the Book fair at my sons elementry school. Yesterday was the parents lunch at his school, so I went and ate at his school. YUCK! No wonder the kid wants lunches from home!

I was also really surprised at the portions and what was offered. It would barely be enough for a todlers lunch! NOT happy. Had Maybe 1/3 cup of this nasty gluppy pasta w/cheese, about 1/4 cup of green salad(only ranch as option dressing) and like 2 TBSP of fruit cocktail. and a milk. Now I am NOT a picky eater, but jeez thats not enough to feed a fly! Not to mention most kids didnt eat the salad or fruit!

Anyway enough complaining, it was fun to sit with my son at school, with all his lil buddies hanging out with us! 4 of the boys that are coming to his slumber party sat with us. Then we all went to the book fair and got my son a book and a carnival tycoon computer game. Everything is buy one get one free, so they ring it up half price on everything! Got a wonderful atlas book for my homeschooled son too!

Wow I wrote a book! Embarrassed Anyway, keep my TJ in your thoughts, he is coming down sick, and its really affecting his lungs and asthma. Same thing my older son had last week UGG>

Group Hug to all!

Hey everybody!

I'm still in bed, trying to stay migraine free until 7:15pm, when I leave to go to theater. We mostly go to off-Broadway things. Tonight we're seeing something called "Liberty Fire" which is a one-woman show about her family where she plays all the parts. That sounds a lot more migraine-friendly than the show we saw last weekend which was a rock musical about a woman with bipolar disorder complete with bright flashing lights aimed at the audience during the electroshock number! Oy vey!

My only tasks today are to refill a scrip by phone (it's all computerized, I don't even have to talk to anyone. I love it.) And something else, but I don't remember what. Oh well, lost in the fibro fog.

Have a good day, everyone!

LauraSue.

Hi everyone!

Just thought I'd stop by for a quick check-in...

Liz and Tawsha, I'll keep you guys and your families in my prayers! Heart

Eileen, keep that migraine far, far away!!!

I'm going to my son's preschool to help with computers today. It's always fun!

Tonight DH wants us all to go out to dinner. Probably a steak place...he's a red meat guy all the way! (Not really my thing, but I always manage to find something to eat wherever we go!)

The kids have a few different Easter egg hunts this weekend...but I hear the weather may not cooperate. There's nothing worse than searching for eggs in the mud! Thumbs Down

Happy, healthy Friday everybuddy!

Yes Jenny,
Muddy eggs would not be fun! LOL

So just in case - I did a second round of Skelaxin - I started feeling a little tightness again - KEEP THE BEAST AT BAY!!! PLEASE!!! It has been such a nice run - I'm really wanting a Teri ticker this time - please migraine spare me!!!!

OK - I think that will do it.

Laurasue - the bipolar play sounds cool, yet possibly migraine inducing....hope you faired well with that one! I would think the one tonight to be more "migraine friendly" Smiler

Tawsha - how's the new place coming?

Liz - I'm hearing you with the TTH - I'm fighting the good fight with ya today! Trying to keep it at bay!

Megs - maybe if we both cross our fingers - we won't get bad weather in our sections of NJ - then our heads will spare us! Big Grin

And hey, uh Laura - if you're free later - I've got some flowers that need planting too!!! Razzer

Hi Everyone,

Laura-I am glad you had fun playing in the dirt. I love annuals. Enjoy!!

Eileen-Glad you manage to get the beast to go away!! I have had water line aura before, but not in my periferal vision. On a funny note: I was talking to my sister in Vermont about what aura were and she said, Oh my goodness, I thought you meant aura like in spirtual halos around people EekerLOL!!! Argggg (Not that kind of aura)Too funny.

Cindy-Enjoy you garden and flower show tomorrow. I love going to those things, but it always makes me want to rearrange the backyard!!

Megs-It is interesting how people react to you being "out" about your migraines. I think it is great you are doing this and a challenge to educate them on how to react and move in positive direction. You are so good at this, just resist the urge to slap them in the head LOL. Your blog great by the way!!

Liz-Your Dad will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers Group Hug And I hope your 2 goes away!!

Tawsha-I am sending positive, healthy thought your way for TJ Group Hug

LauraSue-Enjoy "Liberty Fire" tonight. I am so glad you don't feel like "pond scum" today (your descriptions make me giggle!!) And kick that migraine outta there today!!

Jenny-Enjoy your Easter egg hunt. Hopefully, not in the mud Yuck!! Of course I think the boys might like it LOL.

As for me, I feel pretty clear today. Zach has 1/2 day today, so we are going to meet friends for lunch. No big plans for this weekend. DH is working at the station. So, it probably will be movie night for Zach and I.

Have a great Friday!

So just wanted to check in with you guys real quick and say hi.

DBF and I are flying to Boston on the red eye (uck) tonight, to visit my family for the weekend. Well, long weekend. And somehow, with some amazing karma, when we were checking in, some exit-row seats were open so we took those!! Must be payoff from having a bad head week. Wink

Hope everyone who's not feeling well starts feeling better, and if you're having a good day you stay that way, and overall - have a great weekend! I'll probably check in tomorrow from the east coast.

Heart to all!

Yay Eileen! You've got the beastie on the run!!! Yes

I'm enjoying (most of) a Friday evening without migraine - we actually went out to eat, just me and Danny! Big Grin What a blessing - it's been quite a long while. R's at a sleepover and A had the "7th grade nite out" at the Middle School - dancing, games, etc. So we had 2 blessed hours to ourselves. Since we had to pick Adam up after 2 hours we went to our favorite sushi place near the school. And took a little walk, and had gelato, and even had time to run into the market for milk bread & eggs before it closed. I know, I know, I have SUCH an exciting life!!! Cool

Felt like a good productive day, too, and I got a good walk in - oh, and I've already gotten back over $800 of the $3000 worth of insurance claims I filed a few weeks ago. So I walked to the bank to deposit it! Killing 2 birds with one stone. I got my blog post started but not finished - tomorrow!

Now I'm really tired - that 7 a.m. business meeting always makes Friday a long day for me - and I'm feeling just a touch of beastliness around my right temple. I think I will just go to sleep soon and let it resolve that way. Fingers Crossed

Have a good night all - sorry not replying to everyone but I need my Zzzz'z.

- Megs
