Good morning!

I'm not so early today, but still starting the thread! Feeling better today, everyone had a better day around here yesterday. Then D slept thru his alarm this morning, R says she's not feeling well (without details), A just the usual moving at a crawl - I gave up on the idea of the bus and did the school run, then spending time on line and the forum. I'm in my walking clothes but have a client here in 50 minutes so I don't know if I'll get out - maybe a fast 20 min and then a shower. Ahhh - another well-organized morning in the O-P house!

I hope everyone feels well today - we were not too great collectively yesterday! And I especially want to say welcome back to Kelly - we've missed you!

- Megs

Good Morning,
I'll try not to trip the filter this morning. Work went well yesterday, lots to catch up on after 1.5 weeks away. Funny I had a voice mail at home from a head hunter. I'm keeping the number and calling her back. The fun just seems to be gone out of work.

I feel good this morning. I ended up with a migraine of about a 3 yesterday afternoon. Finally broke down and took Imitrex around 2:30 and got a coworker to take a walk. The fresh air and getting out to move around felt good. I was able to concentrate better after that. Need to remember that.

Kids aren't up yet. Should be soon. Hopefully no drama. I do hope everyone is feeling better than yesterday. It wasn't a good day.

Take care,
Cindy

Good early morning all--

Except that I'm really(!!!!) sleepy this am, all is well with me and mine this morning. DH got my mom's water heater fixed at long last (it had been out since Thrusday) She could come over here (next door) to get showers and laundry etc. but still what a pain. She's had a bad week. Her dishwasher went out and the replacement part is on backorder, and it rained this weedend so now her phone is out. We haven't been able to get that fixed over the past 10 years, but as soon as it dries out some the phone comes back on.

I hope everyone is having a better day today, cause Monday sure sounded BAD for so many.

I sometimes almost feel a little guilty about being in such good control for the past year, but I then remember how rough it was to get to this spot and realize that my situation can maybe offer a little hope to others.

Tracie

p.s. DH made an appt for Wednesday to see his neurologist regarding the escalating nature of this series of cluster has. Maybe I won't have to shoot him after all.

Tracie I had to chuckle over you post yesterday. I don't think a jury of your peers would convict you by the way. I know there are lawyers on our forum and they might not agree, but if you truly had peers, women in the same boat as you with a husband not always listening, you'd not be convicted.

I'm glad to hear he is going in. Wednesday cannot come soon enough.

Oh definitely - Tracie, if you shot him, it would certainly be for his own good, right? You made me laugh. In our house we say "I'm going to put you out of my misery!"

Now everybody say - Megs - go away and get to work!!!

Feeling somewhat better. I did get one load of laundry done yesterday, yeah for me! Gonna try another load today.

Had to run to the store this morning for carrots and celery for my second attempt at getting my soup recipe contest ready. Less cayanne pepper, that's for sure. Chicken base instead of stock. I hope this one works, Kath is about chickened out. She was pouting through dinner last night and I know why. She can make her own darn dinner if eating the chicken is so darn horrible. Devil

Kath's driver's permit expires next week so we're getting it renewed this afternoon. Nikoli is in a spring concert tonight, which he absolutely hates, but we make him do it anyway because it's part of his curriculum.

Tonight is American Idol, the top 12. This year the guys are really good and last week, David Cook blew us all away with his cover of Lionel Richie's "Hello." Can't wait to see how they do tonight.

I'm very down this afternoon. No migraines, but been playing the "beat the constipation" game for 2 days now. While I'm starting to feel better in that regard, my elbow is fighting me something fierce. i'm not sure why it flared again, but it hurts a lot

i'm ready for this day to be over, but there are many more hours left to go...

Hi everyone!

Glad to hear today is a bit better for most of you!

Megs, my morning was much like yours! Nobody moving, minor illness complaints. We drove to school, too. (That 15 extra minutes sometimes makes a big difference!)

Cindy, it can't hurt to check out the headhunter! Keep those options open!

Tracie, never feel guilty about feeling well! That's the goal we all have--and we all plan to get there, too! Smiler

Deb, you'll get that recipe right! And all the chicken eating will be worth it in the end...

Ooh--Hi Jamie! You snuck in there, too! Sending you lots of Group Hug. Elbow and belly, give Jamie a break!! Devil

I'm a little under the weather today. I've got head pain, but it doesn't seem like it's migraine. Maybe some sinus pressure? (I've been dragging a little cold around...) Anyway, I'm sure it'll be gone soon.

I've gotta have a long talk with DH. He sets his alarm 1 1/2 hours earlier than he actually gets up. It doesn't bother him to snooze over and over again...But me--I'm wide awake the whole time! And I don't need to be up with the kids til LONG after that alarm starts squawking!!! I'd be fine with one or two snoozes...But 10?!? Eeker

Have a good day everyone!

Hi all.

I am doing okay today. Day 6 without a migraine - know that if I say it though that I am jsut asking for one. I do have an aura that comes and goes through, sometimes several times a day. Haven't decided if I should be counting that or not.

I am going to have to throw away med #11. Took it again last night and in less than an hour my breathing was down to 60% on my meter. That's 10% away from the ER. Hair Raising but luckily my inhaler came to the rescue and kept me above the 50%. So it's a call to the neuro and on to med #12, whatever that will be.

Good that everyone is feeling better today.

Megs - good luck with your appointment.
Cindy - hope everything goes well with you and your kids today.
Tracie - glad you will not have to shot anyone LOL.
Deb- I was never much a fan of the spring concert myself , ever as fun as some of the other concerts for some reason but certainly it never killed me.
Jamie - take care of your elbow.
Kelly - if you come on today, I am glad you are feeling better. I hope that continues for you.

I'll make sure to tell Kath you said that! Wink

Man, that soup smells good, better with the base than the stock! Keeping fingers crossed. Fingers Crossed

Thanks Megs & Laurelin.

Group Hugs Jamie. I'm with you...how many more hours in this day?! Hope it passes quickly for you.

Eileen-yay for hot water!!

I called Dr. Headache spec. this morning and described my neck pain (which kept me up again last night.) After hearing everything, he wants me to try a few Loracet (a narcotic) again (I took one last Thurs.) and if it doesn't break THEN we'll put things in motion to be eval'd by the other doc for a nerve block. I am just worn out.

I have my psych appt. at 3pm. DH is driving me thankfully.

And I'm supposed to hear back from the vet cause poor Knightley (my dog-who is 5 years old today-his b-day!) is freaking out on his current meds for allergies (he gets a yucky cough). We've been trying since Aug. to get his meds straight. This current med made him pace and woof at everything and out of no-where when he was laying down. It was like he was having high anxiety. I actually swaddled him in a folded sheet and rocked him and that somewhat calmed him down. I know...he is a dog, but calm dog = peace. I stopped that med and he's much better today. Phew. We'll see what the vet says.

Kelly

Hi, all!

Jamie hon, feel better soon, so sorry to hear you're under the weather. I have tummy issues too so I can relate (although my problem is usually the opposite).

I'm in bed. Got a beastie 9:30 pm last night. Later than usual but it was 8:30 body clock time. I was fine til my MIL called. Big Grin

Absolutely nothing on the schedule today but resting, updating my migraine diary, catching up on the paper, stuff like that. Already called the doctor for new scrips and drugstore for a Frova refill.

Spoke to my brother briefly last night about a financial issue, but we didn't resolve it so have to speak to him today or tomorrow. Yesterday was his birthday and he said they had a nice time, went out to dinner at Olive Garden. His long-time off and on girlfriend is back living with him again. Cross your fingers that things go well for them this time, everyone! Fingers Crossed

Later...

LauraSue.
(I'm 55, have had severe migraines for over 4 years due to menopause, plus I have fibromyalgia. I take Imitrex plus Anaprox as an abortive and am working with my migraine specialist to find a preventive. I keep a detailed migraine diary and have made significant lifestyle changes to reduce my risk of migraines.)

Deb remember you can put the chicken in with pasta and veggies for a great dinner. I throw parmesian on since the sauces all have too many calories. Unless I've got pesto around and I love that!! You could make her chicken salad or chicken pot pies......there are all sorts of things to do with that chicken. Kath will be so very happy.

Kelly I'd wrap the dog up too. Next to our kids we've got our pets. And sometimes our pets are alot more loyal, yah know. When was the last time one of the kids really danced when you came home????

Ok, Cindy has to get back to work. She has no migraine, just tight shoulders due to these nasty requirements about future discharge dates. Don't ask.
