Sorry to have gone AWOL on everybuddy this past week. It's not been an easy one to navigate, and was draining, besides, so I ended up having to take a few days away to tend to other things.

My mom's just been diagnosed with breast cancer. Out of the blue, and completely unexpected. So the past week's been full of appointments and arrangements and all that assorted stuff. It's about family and circling our wagons and all. Then, to top it off, my sister ended up in the ER yesterday with a kidney stone. Yesterday was a "comic strip", according to said sister.

So it's just been a bit too busy. But I'm going to forum a bit tonight, after I take a break to do the dinner thing. I've missed you all, and it's time to get back into the swing of "normal". Smiler

Oh Droolie, I am so sorry. When my dad had surgery and developed complications and my aunt fell and broke her hip we were "well at least they are in the same hospital on the same floor......" since there was little else positive about it.

Take care of yourself. Vent if you want or need to. Need another wagaon to cirle in? We're here if you do!!

I think with everything going on I need to start wearning my Turkish braclet with the Nazar Boncugu or Blue Glass Evil Eye Bead Amulet on it. Turkey is an old civilzation, it can't hurt!!

Hi dears - I've got a real monster tonight. Same one from yesterday - it was better for awhile this morning. Trying to decide whether to take Imitrex for a fifth day out of 7.

SS to hear about Droolie's mom and Sandi's DH. And everyone who isn't feeling well.

- Megs

We'll certainly take all the circling wagons we can get! Smiler

Definitely the Blue Glass Evil Eye Bead Amulet can't hurt. Boy, that's a lot to spit out at once. Perhaps you're on to something, and I should carry my lucky roadkill nickels a little closer to my personage than usual. Wink

For good luck and a show of solidarity, the gaggle of plastic lizards and stegosaurus skeleton on my dashboard got matching pink ribbons in my mom's honor. They insisted, and stared me down until I agreed and procured said ribbon. Of course, the fact that they are plastic and cannot blink is beside the point. Hee Hee! Big Grin

Kath used to get As and Bs in science - these last two years have been pretty rough. For example, on the last day of school last year, Kath texted me and said, "I got a 71 in science!" and I texted back, "Whoo hoo!" That's how rough it's been.

Deb-I had no idea that was you!!! I am making your soup tomorrow for dinner, I will let you know how it goes. I totally feel your pain about Chemistry, it was a nightmare for Nicole. Right now she is taking marine biology and she is doing pretty good, because we had her take it with Amber. Nicole has alot of stregths but science is not one of them LOL.

Sandi, I'm sorry to hear about your dh. I hope he keeps getting better.

Jenny, yes, I'll be around. Heart

Deb
