UGH! Mad

I woke up with a migraine this morning. Decided to work anyway.

It just stinks to wake up with one, because then I can't cling to the hope that today will be pain free.

Oh well... What are you gonna do???

How is everyone else today? Smiler

Hi all - I'm here with my tea for once - ready to ease into the day...

Kat - So sorry you woke up with one! I hope you can kick it out and still have some part of the day pain free. Fingers Crossed Fingers Crossed Fingers Crossed for you! Group Hug too.

I'm still on a good run w/out head-pain, Fingers Crossed for me too. A twinge here and there. Had a ridiculous morning - cleaned up the nasty little present Kimi left int he laundry room, washed last night's dishes, fed the kids, signed notes for school, hounded them out the door, just relaxing and sure they must be on the bus by now when they come back, missed it. And gee, guess what, Danny's out at a business meeting and the van's battery is still dead. Funny how it didn't revive itself overnight! I was gratified that Ms. Rach actually walked in and said, "sorry we missed the bus Mom, I need to leave more time in the morning." So gracious - an alien obviously abducted my teenager! Eeker

No, to be fair, she's a doll - except when she's not. Anyway, I got my poor pregnant neighbor up and she gave me a jump-start. Had the kids running all over the house, collecting laundry & doing chores for me while we waited for the car to charge. Not a bad deal, actually. Just got back from driving them to school.

I need some support staying on even keel today. Have my monthly seminar to lead this afternoon. Some dear friends/neighbors who moved away are coming to stay this Sat/Sun & there's clean-up to do. And then there's lots of other work to just try to keep the bills paid - and I'm kind of feeling overwhelmed and afraid I'll over-work. I have to pace myself. Haven't been sleeping too well.

Okay, dears, enough from me. I hope everyone feels well today, or at least better!

- megs

Good Morning,

Kat, hang in there. Hopefully you can take something to tame the beast.

Megs, remember to take things one at a time so you don't overwhelm yourself. I know it's hard not to.

As for me, I've feeling pretty good this morning. I kinda feel like I have a slight headache lingering in the background. I'm hoping the injections that I got on Monday will continue to work so I don't get a migraine.

I have plenty to do at work today. So, guess I better sign-off and get to work. Hope everyone else has a pain-free day.

Good Morning,
After my phamtom smell episode (first one) starting on Monday and extending into yesterday, I woke up around 2 am with a migraine. While the Depokote keeps most of the migraines at bay, I can tell the last few days one has been trying to break through. Well it did. Took some Imitrex at 2 am and took another when I woke up. It's going away, I think. The shower soon will help, the coffee is helping. Doing nothing and staying in bed would probably help too, but that is not an option.

I should open my own vent. I am overwhelmed and tired. I am looking forward to this weekend. It won't cure it, but it will be a much needed break. I do think the depokote needs to be increased (on 250 mg). I'm not scheduled to go back until early June, but I think I will change that.

Enough whinning. Need to check my bank balance to make sure something deposited and get moving. Megs, I hope all goes will with your seminar. I would think with all you have been doing around your house you would be a bit ahead for your weekend company. I do hope so.

Kat I really think we both deserve to throw in the towel today, as the anyone else does and just take care of ourselves.

Take care everyone.

Cindy

Mornin yall! HEY I finally made it to the tea room in the morning! Seems everyday by the time I check in, its pointless to post, as most yall are headed to bed! The joys of being a West Coaster!

Tee hee Megs, you talked about getting kids rushed out the door, Im just in the process of it now!

Been a LOT of extra driving and things to do this week. The WASL(state assesment testing) is going on this week, so Im having to drive the two kids that homeschool to two different schools clear on the opposite sides of town to take the test, plus driving the 2 other boys to their schools and back.(oh and track started this week for both of em)

On top of all that extra, my 1 year old neice is here from Utah while her family is on their Make A Wish Disney trip!(YEA my nephew showed cancer free at his last check!!) Anyway Blaines parents need lots of help with the baby. I am babysitting during the afternoons while Mom does piano lessons. then theres the normal scouts on monday, scouts on tuesday piano on wed. and so on!

Unfortunatly, I STILL have daily migraine pain (2 weeks now) and nothing to take! I jsut know Im in for pain, and try to ignore it now. And HOPE it doesnt get so bad that I cant move! I got one drugstore to say they would "special order" the Gelstat, but would have to buy 3 packs at a time. For the first time using it, Im not willing to pay that kinda money without knowing the product works for me first. SO this morning I placed my first order on the Gelstat website. Jeez the shipping ended up MORE than the product! Oh well Its on its way and Im very hopeful it will bring some relief!

Well I will stop rambling on now!
Kat Val, and Cindy I do hope your migraines go away and leave you alone today!

Have a great day yall!

Hi friends,

I've missed you! Flower

I'm trying hard to crawl out of the cave I've been in...this has been an extremely long, awful migraine. I'm really REALLY hoping the improvement is coming. Today I'm very tired and the migraine is still here. But it will go away very soon. (Either with this steroid pack or with an inpatient visit...)

Kat, Valerie, and Cindy, Group Hug for you all! I sure hope you'll be feeling better very soon! (Cindy, call your doc! If you think you need a med increase, maybe he'll give you approval to start it without even needing an appointment???)

Megs, please try to take things slowly! You definitely don't want to be sick when your friends come to visit. Get a good night's sleep tonight, too! I guess it was good that your kids missed the bus--you had a little cleaning help from them, and that's a BIG bonus!

Heather, enjoy your day! (And try not to work too hard! Razzer)

Hi Tawsha! I thought my kids were busy--but it sounds like yours are really running you around town! My older son (he's 7) absolutely LOVES scouts! A couple of weeks ago, we did the scouting for food project...we collected SO MUCH food for the local food bank that our van was filled twice!! (And that was just our family...think how much the whole pack collected!!!) I'll say some prayers for you today--you really need a break from your migraine pain...

I've been thinking of you all! I should be back to my old self soon--then you won't be able to get rid of me around here!! Wink

Good Morning All--

I accidentally slept in this morning. Worse, I really wanted to stay in bed when I got up! Oh-h-h lazy me. I feel fine, so no excuse, however I could try to blame the small front coming tomorrow. But with no headache, wouldn't be fair huh.

Kat, Cindy, and Tawsha--I'm so sorry Mr. Beastie has your address today. Here's hoping he decides to go somewhere else and leave you guys alone soon. Just imagine this bar....which has all the kinds of drinks and food a beastie would love.....and it's on the other side of the universe!

Tawsha-what is Gelstat?

Megs--I particularly enjoyed last evening's horsey exchange! You made my day!

I'm really excited! I am taking my first riding lesson since last September at the end of show season. Dressage riders take lessons throughout their riding careers, because any change in balance or posture will affect the horse's balance and ability, usually for the worse. I must be crazy to have such fascination with this unbelievably demanding sport, where even the direction the chin is pointed and at what angle (level or looking down) actually matters.

Plan on doing a few more minutes on the forum--one of my favorite morning things nowadays, then have to pay bills and go to the barn.

Good morning all. Hope today produces little pain and much happiness.

I've been enjoying our new puppy. We got a chocolate labrador puppy on Monday. We named her Brandy. It's our third lab. I'm not sure we needed another one but she's here nonetheless. One of the cats isn't too thrilled but he'll come around. She is adorable and funny to watch. Her feet are sooooooo big and she stumbles around because of them. She's proving to be easy because she is watching the other two labs and doing what they do. So far, we've only had one accident. Fingers Crossed

So sorry to hear about everyone feeling bad. I hope everyone's abortives kick in soon. Until then, try to take it easy.

I read about all the running around with kids and smile. Mine are 22, 24, and 27, but I remember those days like they were yesterday. I must admit that I enjoyed it at the time but don't miss it now.

Getting here later than I wanted. Today is dh's last day off. We went to breakfast (where I left my cell phone on the table and we had to go back!), then went to the post office to get passport renewal forms (no, we're not going anywhere, they're just convienet to have) and off to the DMV for photos. There was NO ONE THERE and it still took over a 1/2 hour - I swear one of the requirements to be a state worker is to walk and do everything SLOWLY!

It's a warm and windy day here but I don't think that will bother me. My teeth still hurt from the dentist yesterday and I have to remember not to clench - double whammy.

I hope everyone feeling migraine-y today feels better soon.

Deb

Doggonit--

A mild headache is starting and I saw the weather. We have a low about 16 hours out. Off to bed with Excedrin and Oxygen. Maybe I can postpone it getting bad until at least tonight.

Afternoon all!

Still feeling a bit of the beast from yesterday. Although, I had the pleasure of having it move from right to left! Yippe, what fun!

Tracie - GelStat Migraine is an herbal OTC used to abort migraines. I think it's made of Butterbur, Feverfew and Magnesium....you can search it on here....Teri talks about it in her book as well.

I've tried to get my hands on it, but they are always sold out. I should try again and see if it works for me.

Anyway - hope you all are doing well!

Jenny - hope you are feeling better soon my dear! Group Hug Heart
