Happy Halloween everyone!

I went back to workt his week. Was tough after being off for 5 weeks, and my first day back was meant to be an office day, and I ended up having to cover supports! I was exhausted bythe end of it! Then I was at training Thursday and Friday - it called ASIST training , which means Applied Suicide intervention training - basically suicide first aid!

nothing to dampen the mood like talking about suicide for 2 full days!

I ended up with a terrible migraine after the first day - the lighting int he room HATES me!!!!!

On a brighter note, my boss told me I had to take some annu7al leave, as I missed my planned annual leave when I was off sick, so Im now off again for 2 full weeks Big Grin

Rebekah goes away to an adventure type camp witht he school on Monday, so we will have a week together of peace and quiet. Im sooooooo looking forward to it!

We tookt he girls to a halloween party last night! Rebekah dresed up as a vampire, and chloe as a high school musical cheerleader! they had a good time, but it meant Barry picked me straight up from training and then we had to head straight there. It meant I was out the house since half eight (am) till 8pm - and needless to say, im feeling pretty rough for it today!

Hope eveyone has a great day!

Ill check in later

Love gail x

Happy Halloween Everyone!

I woke up earlier this morning with a right sided Migraine radiating into my neck, those are usually really tough for me to treat, but, I took an Amerge and went back to bed and it's now down to about a four...could it be the Lamictal working?

I have to do the usual food shopping at Walmart today. But, then I'll come home and chill out until it's time to cook an early dinner and then get ready for Halloween. I'm not sure if I'm taking DD around or if DS#2 is. Either way, DH will be handing out the candy. He's still on the mend so I don't want him walking around to much.

I have to break my shorts out again, it's going to be 80 degrees here! Crazy, right? My brother in CO got 2.5 feet of snow and we're getting summer weather.

Gail-Good to see you back! Glad the party went well for the girls and even happier that you have another two weeks off from work, pretty cool!

Kel-Not sure if you'll pop in today, but, I'll be thinking about you partying tonight, have a blast and have a drink on me!

Have a great one!

Hi guys,

We're finally getting better from the flu here at my house. DS9 got really sick again--ears badly infected, sinus infection, and a little rattle in his chest. But he improved quickly with an antibiotic. The rest of us are getting better each day, too.

We had trick-or-treating already (yesterday). Good thing, too! It's raining cats and dogs here today!

Gail, I hope you and Barry enjoy your time together! Are you still planning to go away around Christmas?

Laura, I hope your family has a terrific time tonight! We had shorts weather here on Thursday and Friday. Now the rain has brought the cold back. Enjoy it while the sun is still shining!

I hope you all have a terrific Halloween!

Hi all -

Gail how nice to have leave you "have to" take. And you don't have to be sick for this time off! Enjoy.

Laura enjoy your Halloween - I hope your head keeps improving!

Hey Jenny, glad you guys are on the mend. I'm glad your boys were up for trick or treating! Adam just went back to school yesterday, and he was so releived to be better in time for Halloween.

I was up early and did a mediation session and now I'm back home for just a couple of hours before I go to the store for the afternoon. When I get home trick or treating should be in full swing. I love seeing the little kids in costume! We get a lot of trick-or-treaters; we live on a picturesque street in the center of a cute little town. People actually drive their kids here from other towns to trick or treat!

Adam was out with some friends last night hanging out at the playground and there was a 9 pm curfew because it was "mischief night." They lost track of time and at 9:05 a policeman pulled up and gave them a stiff lecture and took all their pictures and took down their names & addresses. He was very upset when he got home! Hey, you're a 14 1/2 year-old boy hanging out with a group of 6 or 7 other boys on mischief night after curfew - it's not surprising that you'll get stopped. "But we weren't doing anything!" he said, and I'm sure they weren't. I think it comes with the territory of being a teenage boy, though. Of course I had called him 20 minutes before and told him to come home - but he didn't answer his phone. Oh well, he'll survive, and maybe pay more attention to the time next time...

It's pretty warm and steamy here - still (again) raining. Yuck.

See you all later.

- Megs

Happy Halloween everyone!

It's a nasty day here-rain and cold. I did the Sams shopping yesterday and cleaned the house among other things, so all I had to do today was the Walmart shopping. I haven't done big grocery shopping in 6 weeks so you can imagine what my buggies looked like!

Work yesterday was super slow-and it was really nice. I actually felt really good and got a lot done when I got home. I actually even got the leaves off the back porch-wearing a mask-but at least it's done.

DH has had a terrible 3 weeks at work and is exhausted, so I let him sleep and gave the boys a good what for talking too before I left. They knew exactly what their punishment would be if they woke him up while I was gone.

I actually made it through shopping without having to hit the rescue inhaler, but after loading in the rain, that was all over. DH and the boys unloaded everything when I got home, so there was no going up and down stairs for me!

I'm actually done for the day and sitting watching football with DH. It's nice for a change to be sitting, doing nothing. I'm not real sure how to do it! I didn't sleep well last night, so I may even take a nap today!

Gail-I'm glad your feeling good enough to be back at work. Sorry it ended up being 2 days of discussing suicide training!

Laura-Glad the Amerge worked on your migmon. Good luck with walmart shopping!

Jenny-I'm glad everyone is getting better in your house. The flu is nasty stuff

Meg-It sounds like you've been feeling better and I"m so glad. You had so much going on all at once that I was worried about you. Sorry about Adam last night, but maybe once and he'll never forget it.

Better run. I need to surf and find a few things to get ordered for Christmas gifts. Hope everyone has a safe Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

No trick or treaters for us - ever since we moved out here we get a few or even no kids, so I've stopped buying candy. I don't need it sitting around.

We live up a big hill with no street lights, so no one bothers with the houses here.

Kath will take Nikoli out tonight and then we have to make the rounds with the grandparents and aunts and uncles.

I am totally looking forward to the extra hour of sleep tonight.

Today is our first sunny day in I don't know how long. This is the wettest October on record with over 12 inches of rain. That shattered the old record of 8 inches set back in 1919!

Gail, good to see you back here and back at work. Now enjoy your two weeks off!

Laura, enjoy the shorts weather.

Jenny, I am so glad that you all are feeling better.

Megs, that was probably a good lesson for Adam.

Lynn, glad you got some help from your family.

Be safe tonight everyone.

Oh, Deb, you lucky rat! No Trick-or-Treaters! We had none last year, as we had just moved in. I think this year will be different, though.

My trip to NC to help Mary out was somewhat successful. She's in KY now on a job interview. Did I tell y'all she gave her 1-month notice 20 Oct.? This current job is just more than 1 person can do!

Here's Fingers Crossed that all our Trick-or-Treaters have a good time & stay out of trouble.

And, here's Fingers Crossed that all us Treaters don't run out of treats.

Now, I'm off to see what I'm going to fix for supper.

Hi gals!

Well, it's been Eileen vs. Migraine every day this week, including today. I have had breaks though so no status anymore, which is good. The 4 day'er broke yesterday for about 6 hours and then ta-da! guess what made a reappearance this morning? You guess right! I took some Amerge since it was not that bad and that along with a nap has knocked it out (I hope!)

Deb - we don't get any trick or treaters for Halloween either. I can't even remember the last time I bought candy - it's been over ten years. I seem to have quite the knack for finding homes where no one trick or treats.....then again, the weather is not good at all again today so that plays into it as well. Plus, they have the mall to go to and trick or treat at - which, in this day and age, is probably a lot safer than when I was a kid.....dryer too on a night like tonight!

So the game just started - World Series game 3. I can hear DH yelling at the t.v. it was a big YEAH!!!! followed by clapping, so the Yanks either scored or made a good play. I am surprised they are able to play tonight - it's been so gross here today. I'm starting to have very little faith in the weatherman. My head knows weather better than he does. He said no rain until this evening, high of 70 - it was about 60 today and rained all day long. Good call weatherman!

Laura - I'm starting to think we are two peas in the same pod! We need this week to end already so we can get our heads straight! I hope you are feeling better! I am jealous of the weather you are having - send it to NJ will ya?! LOL I'll send you some pizza, bagels and calzones from L.I. and you send me good weather. Deal? LOL

OK, my belly is hurting so I am going to lay down.

Hope you all have/had a wonderful Halloween!!!!!

Go Yankees!
