Happy Friday!!

I'm still holding up although we have a front moving in bringing my favorite coastal storms. I am excited just by the fact that my brain hasn't told me the storms are coming. Hooray!! Rain

Yesterday was indeed busy, busy! The bug guy came, he is such a nice man. But, my dogs decided to go a bit nutty. I think the older dog has lost his patience with the puppy and they got into a "tiff". Then, when the dishwasher guy came and I kept the dogs apart so there wasn't a repeat of their "tiff". Silly doggies.

The electrician was a bit odd but got the job done pretty quickly and gave me a 20% discount. Thumbs Up Thankfully, I was able to answer his questions. I think it is because I used to manage rental properties so this has given me a bits of information in strange areas LOL.

My doctor appointment was nothing to rave about. I spent more time waiting then being with him and my referral didn't pan out anyway. At least I tried right? All they can do is say no. And they did Smiler No surprise there.

Today, I feel that beloved burst of energy. I slept from 10:30 until 5:30, yes, I made it all the way through. Thank you Zanaflex!!!! I think that may be keeping the beast at bay. Woo hooo!

So, I'm going to take advantage of it by cleaning. Dusting is necessary because of the mess made sawing the countertop to get the stove in. DH did a great but messy job. The boys and I cleaned the kitchen top to bottom last night but the dust traveled everywhere else. Hair Raising

I hope everyone is doing fantastic and enjoys their Friday!!

Good Morning,
Laura we are the early birds today. Glad to hear you are feeling well. I too and fit and ready to go. While it's a bit cool here (39) yet, it should be in the high 60's maybe low 70's today. I am finally feeling much less fatigued from the Zonagron. I think I may actually go do some yard work today. I have not felt like it in weeks. The dog will be happy. She'll bring me her ball while I weed. Good exercise for us both.

I made a new years resolution this year to reconnect with a cousin that had been a good friend though my youth. I got a long letter from her about a month ago and today I am going to sit down and write her a return letter. She is in Eastern Washington with her husband. We had great fun as kids together. Time and circumstances separated us for many years, but I had such wonderful memories I wanted to reconnect. I've also stayed in contact with her parents, always one of my favorite aunts and uncles. Since my mom's parents and my mom have died it has become rather easy to lose track of that part of the family. So I'm off to reconnect.

Have a great day everyone. I hope you are pain free and set to enjoy the weekend. Gretchen, how is Sparky doing by the way? You haven't mentioned him?

Take care.
Cindy

TGIF!!

I hope everyone is feeling well today, and those aren't my thoughts are with ya!

I hit a wall yesterday,(not literally), physically and mentally I just went plop! I don't know if anyone has ever felt like that before but it's the strangest feeling, when you can't describe what you are going thru. I have no pain or or any of my typical signs of something brewing. However, I have learned how unpredictable this disease can be so I am preparing and praying!

I hope evryone enjoys their Friday and stays pain free as possible Heart

Cindy-Have a blast in the garden, one of my favorite places to be although I have no talent. I still love to get outside in the fresh air and get my hands dirty. I agree, the dogs love it too!

Lori-I'll be thinking about you and sending you some feel better vibes!

Hi all, I've got a meeting in 1/2 an hour so this will be quick.

I've had some rough days lately but today is not too bad.

We've decided to throw out med #10 and I get to move on to med #11. Yea preventatives....I think. So no more med that makes me sick. Smiler

But anyway the really good news is that I was approved for intermittant FMLA! Smiler So I don't have to worry about my job or sick leave running out for a while. This is such a relief to me.
I hope that I don't have to use it too much, because it's unpaid, but it is better to know my job is safe. My GP is awesome.

DH and I are leaving after lunch to see some friends in Iowa. It's supposed to snow, but that's okay because we are hoping to go skiing! Might as well make use of the cold somehow. I'll see everyone on Monday when we get back.

Laura - glad you are having a good day so far. Dusting *achoo*. DH does all the dusting for us because I am allergic.

Cindy - great to hear you are doing better. You and your dog have a good time with the yard work.

Lori - hope you have a good day and nothing brews, except for maybe a beverage if you chose.

Good morning all -

I had a good day yesterday - really excited about my e-course being launched. Thumbs Up Felt energetic and good all day until around dinner time, then got a little photo-sensitive and very tired. I can't coplain, it's an improvement. But I'm not sure the kitchen will ever be really clean again, or the laundry will all be folded, etc. I just run out of energy. Oh well. It's almost the weekend and I can do a lot of clean-up on the weekend - just as long as I can avoid the old Frigraine/weekend migraine.

Lori sorry you're feeling weird - hope it passes! Fingers Crossed
Laura sounds like you've been very productive! Blinking
Cindy I do envy you in the garden work - a few more weeks here before the ground's unfrozen enough to do anything with. But we have snowdrops up! Flower
Laurelin congrats on the FMLA - that must be a weight off your mind, at least. Cool

As for me, tummy is still funky but head's okay so far. I'm back to my usual Friday dilemma - there's everything I didn't get done this week, and everything I want to work on, and what really ought to be finished, and the need to take it easy and not push myself or I'll have that Frigraine for sure. So - back to making lists and prioritizing. That's life!

Feel well, everyone! Heart

Good morning, two days in a row I've posted before noon!

Have a three-day migraine going, see if I can survive today without a recurrence. DH isn't happy. After my brag about him being so understanding, something has upset him. Oh well, we'll get thru it.

Let me go check your posts and reply. Just wanted to get this time-stamped before noon! Razzer

Laura, totally relate to the burst of energy and using it to clean. For me, it's usually prodrome, though. I tell DH that if he sees me with a sponge in my hands to tell me to go take an Imitrex!! Big Grin

Cindy, that's wonderful about reconnecting with your cousin. I did a lot of that over the past 10 years. Unfortunately now I'm too sick to maintain contact, but at least I had some time to re-bond with them. Anyway, good for you!

Lori, I feel like that really often. For me, it's the fatigue from the fibromyalgia, so I know that wall really well. I have an upclose, personal, intimate relationship with it!!! Head Banging Big Grin

Laurelin, that is fantastic news about the FMLA! I'm so happy for you. What a great law that is! It has made such a difference from the bad old days, hasn't it.

Megs, I love the term "Frigraine!" That used to be me, absolutely. I used to meet some girlfriends for lunch every other Friday, and I ALWAYS had a headache! Didn't know they were migraines back then. Roll Eyes

Hope everyone has a good day. I'm hiding out in the bedroom again. Maybe it'll even work today!

Hi!

I'm tired today, but good. I'm glad the weekend is here.

We are going out to my friends house tomorrow. Her and I have been friends since grade school and I love hanging out with her. So we are oging out there for dinner and just to chill. She lives about an hour from us now.

Other then that, today it's just work and then movies later, I guess.

DH went back to work today - finally over his cold or whatever it was! I'm so happy about that. And I think I somehow avoided it!! Yippee! Thank you Vitamin C!

Hope you all are doing well today!

Hi, gals!

I've had stubborn 5s for 3 days. Today I woke up with a 7. My triple-threat has knocked it back to a 6, and I'm functional, but not happy. I see my primary at 2. It's rainy, so I guess I was due.

I ordered a bunch of clothes from Coldwater Creek and Lands End. They came yesterday. Some of it has to go back, but I got some great stuff, including a cocktail dress! And a bathing suit that looks fab. And they're all 16s or size Large! I literally had nothing to wear for when it hits 80.

Sparky's painkillers continue to do a good job. He's much more bouncy. It's in the low 40s here, and our walk was short. I was a bad girl and skipped mine.

DS comes home for spring break this evening. DH and I are going on a Spring Break Trip, but he's not coming. How's that for strange? I should go grocery shopping today, but that might have to wait until tomorrow. My attitude just isn't right.

I hope today goes well!

Hi, all!

Hope all of you that are feeling odd, icky, or ucky are past it soon.

We cleaned house this morning, so now all I've got left is to enjoy the bejeebers out of the rest of the day. Nice! Big Grin

For all you thirty-somethings that grew up with Judy Blume, there's kind of a fun book I found at the public library the other day. It's a collection of essays called Everything I Learned About Being aGirl I learned From Judy Blume. Just a fun little nostalgia trip, for those in the know.

Had the beginnings of a beast come and attack me last night. And at about that same time, my elbow was screaming in pain... despite Ultram ER, I was feeling the weather change so strongly. Great. I wonder what this means for my poor elbow, as the only other joint I feel things in is my poor wounded knee.

The head pain and the elbow pain both passed when the rain started. That would be 5:44am- as my alarm clock radio stated in big red letters..

I fell back asleep by 6 and got up at 8:18- so that I could go to CVS and still be at work by 9. Didn't work out so much that way.

Well, the Rx meds were ready for me, I just had gotten into line when I saw a woman in front of me pull out a wad of dollars from her pocketbook and start counting it once, while in line. Then the first person had the wrong Rx, and the one after that had insurance problems. Then the woman with the cash. (Over $100 in mostly ones and an occasional five in there.) It was 9:20 by the time she got to $75. I mentally checked out, and when I returned to line, she was over $120 . 9:25. She was done by 9:27, and I got my Rx, had my card scanned, and left. Got to work by 9:40. ... And then realized that I had forgotten to get meds I need for tonight refilled. Skillet Mad So, I have to go BACK to CVS after work. I think I'll go to the one on the other side of town. You know- mix it up a little?

Such is my day so far. A bunch of numbers.

Hi all. I'm not feeling great today, but for once it's not my head. It's some killer cramps. Devil Uck. I took some ibuprofen to take the edge off. I saw my PCP last month to discuss some options since my cramps have been so bad lately. I plan to call today and schedule an appointment to get a Mirena IUD. For a number of reasons I think this is my best option - less risk of messing with my migraines or meds, it's a good BC option for me, and it will hopefully improve my severe cramps and heavy periods. Blech.

I'm going to lunch this afternoon with one of our marketing people from work and the executive director of our local chapter of the AIA (American Institute of Architects). A few weeks ago the AIA VP called me to let me know they want to nominate me to the AIA Board of Directors for a 1-year term starting in Sept. This is very exciting news for me since it's unusual for an unlicensed architect to get nominated to the Board (I won't be licensed until at least the end of 2009). I accepted - hopefully my head will be under better control by then. Anyway I'm going to lunch with the exec director and one of our marketing people which should be really good. I already looked at the restaurant's menu online and there should be some safe food. (Thank goodness for the internet.)

This week has been super busy at work but at least it's gone quickly. My head has been funky all week too. Hopefully this weekend I'll have a break.

Hope everyone who's feeling good stays that way, and everyone who's not starts feeling much better soon. And have a good Friday! Heart

Nikoli had a day off from school today so we went to eat pizza.

I don't know what's been going on lately except for bad weather, but I've had a migraine every day this week (yes, I've had the required four hour, pain free and awake period). I'm also afraid I'm clenching my teeth.

Kath has her sophmore dance tonight - dress up dinner dance. No date, but I hope if she hangs with these friends she's having trouble with that the night goes smoothly.

I got in here late and I won't address everyone - if anyone is feeling bad, I hope the day improves.

Off to take some medicine.

Oh, I hope the teen drama comes to an end and that she enjoys herself tonight, and the group of friends manage to hang together- with her feeling very much included.

Feel better, Deb!
