Good morning,

Iron Man was a great movie, all of us, even Leighann loved it. I'm so glad we went to see it. Of course our family is a sci-fi, action hero loving, thriller watching bunch of nuts so it was right up our alley.

We delayed Mother's Day dinner due to severe weather in our area. We will go either today or tomorrow instead. That actually works out better since we won't have to worry about a long wait at the restaurant. DH had to go to physical training with his work early this morning so we'll see how tired he is when he gets home tonight. He's been fighting a bad cold that has been wearing him out at night.

You guys know what I'll be doing again today. Wink

Take care!

You are up nice and early today Laura!

Tonight DH and I are going into the city with friends to see Tegan and Sara!!! We are so excited. This is going to be my first concert in like 2 years!!!

Too bad the weather is so yucky!!!! We will have a great time though.

Well, I'm here, it's Monday - ugh! And I'm just moving at snail speed. I'm very tired. I took Friday off of work to recoup from tonight (figured I can make it through work tired and then have a nice long weekend).

Hope everyone has a nice day!

Laura- Glad you enjoyed the movie. Hope you get a lot of work done today on that room!
Got to see my brother, his wife and my little nephew Ben who came in from NYC yesterday. We went to FW to visit my Mom and Stepdad for Mother's Day with my kids, and had so much fun watching the baby who is 1 1/2.
Got absolutely no sleep last night- I think the topamax is making my insomnia worse Head Banging

Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday Blinking

Morning, Girls!

A cool morning here in Mississippi -- around 55. Cool for us this time of year. High today about 80. Perfectly normal. Still have yard stuff to do. Haven't made it to the nursery for bedding plants.

Had a nice weekend. Yesterday noon was at my Mom's for Mothers Day. She fixed Crock-Pot BBQ pork and all the trimmings, on paper plates. Last night, DH, DS, and his DGF took me to Bonefish Grill.

Saturday was taken up with DGF's college graduation. Outside, but breezy with cloudy skies, at 9:30am. Not too long. No valedictory or any of that, which was nice. Greg Iles, the author, spoke.

Woke up at 3 this morning, and I'm beginning to wind down here at 7:30. We'll see how long I last.

I hope everybody survives the ookey weather. We'll get ours Wed and Thurs.

Good Morning Everyone,

Kinda slow start here, but I have to get a couple of things done here and get going for work. I need to get a ticker going since I leave Saturday for vacation. Get to see two dear friends and some family I haven't seen since my grandmother's funeral. I'm really looking forward to it.

Had a very quiet day yesterday. Have to say I needed it. Piper got home just in time for a late dinner, so I did get to have dinner with both kids. I was happy for that.

No migraines, just nausea from the Lexapro. It may be getting better, so maybe it will work Fingers Crossed.

Talk to you all later.

Morning all!

The tea room sure is hopping today!!.... Glad to hear everyone seemed to have a nice Mother's Day weekend...

As for me, I'm not feeling too bad this morning... I felt migraine-y all weekend Frowner I'm praying I don't get any, because I can't take any Relpax for another couple of days.
Not feeling all that motivated today at work... I have to see about going to see my PCP today. Need to get a form signed for school. Not jazzed about going outside in this weather. Frowner

And on a personal note.... TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!!
Birthday Cake Birthday Cake Birthday Cake
I'm giving myself cake!!! And hoping 29 will be better than 28 was...

I'm not planning on doing anything special today, or really at all... The last time I tried to have a b-day event was when I was 25 and it was quite the fiasco!

Laura: I thought you did your "last coat" this weekend... lol... Your story makes me think of the movie the Money Pit... Two weeks... Smiler Btw, if you have never seen it, it is a must-see for anyone going through home improvement.

Eileen: Have fun at your concert tonite!!! I hope the weather clears up for you!!!

GWP: I covet your southern BBQ pork. Let me say, I have had BBQ pork in Memphis, and here in NJ. There is just no substitute for good Southern cooking!!

Have a great day guys!!! Big Grin

Happy Birthday Kat!! I'm sorry, I didn't know it was your birthday today, I'm headed over to the Personal folder to give you a "proper" celebration!!

Big Grin My final coat was on the one burgandy wall. Now I'm doing the Soft Kiss (kind of a cream color) on the other three walls. I just finished touching up where the burgandy got on the other two walls despite the painter's tape and getting ready to apply the first coat. The project that never ends LOL. I've seen the movie "Money Pit", it's funny! That and "Are We Done Yet?"

Hi gang -

Another day more or less in bed for me. I am feeling mostly better from this flu but I get up and walk around and I'm dead in 10 minutes. We figured out that Danny was out of it with this flu for almost 6 days - if I follow the same timetable that has me on track to feel all better by the end of the day tomorrow! Today my head's a little iffy too. We have high wind warnings - windy days seem bad for my head. It's 45 degrees out, raining & blowing. I turned the heat on!

I'm more alert and getting some work done on the computer. I get so bored with being sick after awhile - I really want some work to do! Luckily I have plenty. I'm pacing myself and taking it slow.

Needless to say I didn't get my sculpture garden stroll yesterday. We will try to do it next weekend. Had some nice gifts and a Mother's Day toga party (just togas, no keg!) - my kids are so funny! I'll have to show you pictures of us all draped in pink and gold and blue sheets! And best of all a few hours of hanging out with the kids with them in a good mood!

Happy B'day Kat - 29 was great for me, hope it is for you, too!

Laura good luck with the soft kiss! (oolala!) We watched Money Pit when we were renovating this house - too true, too true!

Cindy good luck getting ready for vacation. You are certainly due for one!

Gretchen glad you had a nice weekend. I could go for some of that BBQ about now, too.

Val sounds like you had a nice family weekend - so glad for you. sorry about the stinky insomnia, though.

Eileen enjoy the concert. High wind warnings end at 4 (at least down here) - so hopefully it won't be bad when you go out.

See you round, gals!

- Megs

Good morning (at least on the west coast). Haven't logged in in a couple days. Things are wild in my personal life right now. I have a mild migraine (about a 4) today but it has been really bad the last few days.

I am at my daughter's place and have been since Saturday. I needed to get away from everyone at home and get some time to think. She suggested I come stay with her for a little while and after giving it some thought, I realized that was probably a good idea.

She made sure I had a nice Mother's Day. We did a little shopping and went to go see Made of Honor. That is a very cute (very unrealistic) movie. Then we took a long walk and talked and talked. It was a great mind diversion. I needed that.

I'm not sure how much longer I'll stay. I'm winging it! I need to do some thinking without anyone around. My daughter and her husband are at work now so I have her place all to myself (with her 4 cats) to try to clear my mind.

Here's wishing Kat at Happy Birthday Birthday Cake Take care everyone.

G'day, mates!

I still hate Mondays even though I haven't worked in five years. And rainy Mondays are the absolute pits. Cold and damp here, but I have to go out regardless, for my long-awaited followup appt with my mig spec. I will be asking for a referral for a second opinion, so wish me luck.

Our housekeeper is here, DH already left for work, not much else happening. My primary goal today is to keep my head on until I leave for the doc. (That's how DH refers to not getting a mig, "keep your head on!" Too cute!)

Spoke to my mom yesterday, she's good. MIL is not so good, has had a bad cold, so they are postponing her knee surgery. She's NEVER sick, so she must REALLY be sick. Possibly actual flu rather than just a head cold. Hope she's okay. At 82, anything can happen, although she's about as healthy and active and energetic as they come.

Still catching up on newspapers. Keep getting distracted by Spider Solitaire and the icanhascheezeburger website with all the funny LOLcat pictures. If I quit wasting time, I mean having fun, I could read the whole stack of newspapers by the end of today! I'm only four days behind now, but those of you who are familiar with the NY Times know how much four days is, especially including a Sunday paper and the Friday Weekend arts section. Oh, well, I love it, so I'm not complaining!

Meggers, feel better, hon, okay??

Everyone else, have a great day!

Morning all. It's still morning here, anyway. A quick hello from work.

I leave for Boston tonight, for a conference all week, and then I fly from there to Virginia on Saturday for a wedding, then back here next Monday. I (mostly) packed for my trip last night - I'll just need to pack my carry-on and toiletries tonight. I'm a little (ok, a lot) nervous about this trip. I'm going to go post in the Support folder in a bit, I think.

Other than the trip things are ok here, though I'm not feeling great today. My stomach usually gets pretty funky the day of a big trip and today is no exception. Ugh. I'll feel better once I get going.

Ok, I don't want to turn my tea room post into a gripe. Hope everyone is having a good Monday. Heart

Happy Monday! I won't say morning since it's alreay afternoon.

I'm so tired today. We got back from our Houston band trip last night around 10:00. We had so much fun but we didn't get much sleep. The Jazz band and the combined band both won Superior Awards. And the combined band won best in class. We are so proud of them. They sounded great! Thumbs Up

I mananged to make it through the whole trip without a migraine. I did have a headache on Saturday for a little while but I think it was from too much laughing.

I went to my ENT doctor's appointment this morning. The good news is my doctor said I don't have sleep apnea. At this point, we aren't going to do anything.

Happy birthday, Kat. Birthday Cake

Hope everyone has a good day and week!
