Wow, I'm the first? Bad day. The migraine started about 1 am. 3 meds later, no real relief. I'm am paying big time for the massively overscheduled day I did yesterday. Girl scouts for my DD, conference call w/ another writer, accupuncture appt for my ear, dinner, gun range for shooting lesson, NanoWriMo party (tho' I didn't stay very long) followed by managing to crank out nearly 1100 words for the aforemention Nano.

I would so very much like to go back to bed. But my washing machine up and died 2 days ago. So DH and I (+kids) have to go shopping for a new one. Sigh.

Happy Saturday!

I'm right there with you, Amy, Migraine Day Two. Today's med combo was Frova and Naprelan, yea!

On a happier note, DS#1 and I both finally got our seasonal flu shots. The line was long even though I got there 45 minutes early. But, it's done, and I'm a happier girl for it. I also got food shopping done pretty quickly since I'd had such a rough week head-wise and didn't really cook, I didn't need all that much this week.

I'm not sure what I'll be doing the rest of the day, but it won't be very exciting. Probably just chilling with my DH and maybe reading a bit.

Amy-Sorry about the washing machine, I hope you can catch a good one on sale Fingers Crossed

Take care everyone!

Good morning everyone!
It's finally the weekend! Yesterday went OK-I planned on getting a nap, but the phone guy was here over 3 hrs. to get the new VOIP phones installed and working. At least we finally have house phones back!

It's been a busy day already-DS#1 loaded a TON of stuff that we had to go to Salvation Army and DS#2 and I took it there, then off to get DS#2 new shoes-he'd gone up 2 sizes! I knew he had hit a growth spurt but geeze-we just bought the old shoes in Aug!

Once that was done, we had to do b-day shopping for DS#1. His 11th b-day is Tuesday. Time flies so fast!

I actually feel really good today! I slept a full 8 hrs last night and am breathing much easier today. I'm still not planning on doing much, but it's nice to feel human again. The doc said it would take 3-4 weeks for the steroid to kick in full effect and I was not to push it around triggers until after that. I'm going to listen. It's a beautiful day and I'd love to be washing my truck and working in the yard, but I know I don't need to, so I'm not.

Amy-I'm so sorry you got hit hard. It sounds like your day yesterday was crazy! Take care of yourself and good luck with the washer.

Laura-I'm sorry you got hit again too! I'm glad you finally got your flu shot. I can finally get mine on Monday. I had to wait until I'd been off Prednisone for a week or it would have made it in-effective. I'll be super glad to get mine now too.

Gotta go-I'm working on the 2010 FSA account to figure out what we need to contribute to cover the meds etc. My new ones alone are eating us up!

I hope everyone can rest and relax some and may everyone get feeling better soon!
Lynn

Hi everyone,
I'm glad its the weekend. Its a nice day here and DH is working out in the yard. I'm planning to go get some exercise at the gym. I've been really trying to exercise more this week. I got a pilates DVD to do at home and so far I'm feeling a little bit stronger after doing the 20 min. workout 3 times. I bought a yoga DVD to try also. I've never done yoga. I have to carry a lot of heavy things around for work. I have a laptop in a rolling bag and then all my work papers and some reference materials in another bag. I'm fine if I can roll everything in the bag, but many times I'm having to carry things up stairs at various locations. It seems like just lifting all those things cases my neck and upper back to tense up and hurt. I'm beginning to wonder if some of my migraines start out as neck tension and pain. After being on Topamax for so long and not feeling like doing anything, I think my muscles got weaker.

Amy- I know how hard it is to avoid migraines with all the various activities that are just a part of life. Hopefully you can find a good deal on a washer.

Laura- I hope your migraine gets better and you can still enjoy the day.

Lynn- So glad you are feeling better. You deserve a good day for a change!
