Well, I'm at home today. Not feeling great, and I know that today is the day that they're testing the fire alarms at work. With a mild migraine, this is not appealing to me in any way.

My jaw is still swollen from the implant, and i'm still on my soft foods diet. It's hard, 'cause the implant is in the back of my mouth, so the chewing process is a no- go.

It's cold outside. It was in the upper 60's this weekend, and now it's back to brrr degrees outside. I hate that.

Hope y'all are having pain free days,

Jamie

Jamie, I'm sorry your jaw still hurts. Seems like you should be getting relief by now.

I'm killing a little time before I start getting ready for Nikoli's birthday. Although with the weather that's coming, I don't know if the family will even be here.

I predict a snow day tomorrow.

Happy Monday!

Jamie -- Fire drills are such a pain! I'm glad you can be at home.

Deb -- have a great party!

Our weather has been gorgeous. Today will be nice -- high in the low 60s. But a 90% chance of thunderstorms tomorrow, with a high of 48 on Wednesday. Big potential for nasty weather. But a good excuse to light the gas longs!

I did EVERYTHING wrong yesterday. Didn't eat well, stayed up to late, didn't exercise. If we'd had chocolate in the house, I'd have eaten it. But my head feels fine this morning.

I'm slowing down my increase of Lyrica. In the last few days, my hunger has been out of control, and I'm craving fat and sugar. I REFUSE to put any of this weight back on! As we tell the newbies, there's always something else to try.

Have a great day!

Hi Everybody -

Jamie I hope you feel better but glad you aren't at work with the loud fire alarms! Our weather is something like yours -

now it's back to brrr degrees outside

Teehee! I think it was 11 out when I got up this a.m.

Gretchen glad you're having a beautiful day - and good luck re the Lyrica - I totally get refusing to put the weight back on - your weight-loss story is sure inspiring to me!

Deb good luck getting ready for Nikoli's b-day. I hope he gets whichever he wants most - the snow or the company!

Migraine gone this morning and not much post-drome, just a little tired. I'm so relieved to be up out of bed I want to do everything all at once - so I'm working on pacing myself and not over-doing it! We've got Adam's b-day next week to start planning, extra-long Pres. Day weekend (4 days off from school) in which we are trying to do one college visit for Rach and one day visiting my Mom & Dad, so I'm trying hard not to overdo it all week so I can have a good weekend Fingers Crossed. then there's Valentines which comes between most of our family b-days and we always wish we could put it off a month or so - we're just going to get the kids some chocolates and make a date to go out some time when it's not so nuts...

Hope you're having a good day!

- Megs

Hi all!

Jamie Thumbs Up on taking the day! Esp. with a fire drill going on - you're probably much better off, and your head will thank you! Sorry the 'ol jaw is still aching - but that means more moon pies!!! MMM!

I actually got through yesterday with no migraine! I am very happy about that!!!

DH is loving the upped Amitriptyline - it makes me quite funny before bed, not to mention I think it's counter acting the Topamax's effect on the tanking libido (is that even possible?????) maybe it's just becuase I'm 30 and it's all those hormones flying around! Who knows.

So the 20mgs of Amitriptyline is giving me the drunky/sleepy effect that the 10mgs did at first. I know it won't last more then a couple days, but I quite enjoy the great sleep I get the first couple nights!

All you north earstern dwellers, bundle up today! It's frigid!!!!! I think it was 11 this morning when I woke up - BBBRRRRRRR!!!!

When is it going to be spring????

Blech, another Monday. But the good news is I have a four-day weekend coming up, which will be my long-awaited vacation with DBF!! I was feeling a bit migrainey when I woke up, but the pain has settled back down to a 3 so I'm ok for now. I'm going to try really hard to work full days this week since I'm taking Friday off.

Jamie, sorry to hear that your jaw is still bothering you. Try to enjoy your day off - good for you for not going into work!

Deb, enjoy Nik's party!

Gretchen, I hear you on the bad cravings. When I tried to boost my nortriptyline dose to 50 mg I felt like I was going to eat everything sugary in sight. Too much sugar is a big migraine trigger for me, so it was torture! Hope your cravings settle down soon.

Megs, hope you enjoy your week without overdoing it. It's so hard not to try to pack everything in sometimes.

Eileen, yay for good sleep! Even if it is drug-induced. Smiler

Hope everyone enjoys their Monday. Heart

Hi everyone,

Just stopping by to check in. This was a lost weekend. I got hammered--really hammered by the worst migraine I've had in a long time...After it had lasted 4 days (I know, too long--I'm stubborn), I gave up and went to the ER. Kids had a 2-hour delay because of the cold this morning (thank goodness!). We all slept in!

Oh, and overnight my littlest one starting barking with the croup. There I was, taking care of him and giving him his meds--with so many ER meds in me that I had to call DH to check my dosing (didn't want to give the little guy too much by mistake!).

Sorry, I can't stay long. I need a nap. Zzzz'z

thinking of you all

Jenny, sorry to hear that you got hammered by the beast this weekend. Hope you're doing better today.

Me, my migraine has now cranked up to a 5 and I'm tearing up on the right side. I have the "feels like I need to sneeze" pain today - only realized it was migraine pain (not allergies) about a month ago! Rarrrrr. Skillet It's going to be a long day at work.

Left home at 6:45 A.M. for my work location for the day, which was a
l o n g way from home. The coworker who was supposed to join me there called me at 6:30 A.M. to say she was sick. And she sounded awful. So I was there by myself. I got everything accomplished by 2:15 P.M. Ordinarily I would have returned to the office, but we were having a winter storm at that point, and the last person to have left the location had taken an hour to get to the next freeway exit. So I called my supervisor, and she said, GO HOME, and call her when I arrived at home. So that's what I did.

I hope everyone who is "migraining" feels better soon.
