Good morning!
My morning has been busy so far but in a very good way. We had some delays with school and work because of the ice but now the roads are clear and everyone is where they need to be. I also got a call from Dr. Krusz with the lab results and some of my "stuff" needs tweaking. Thankfully, nothing major. Hooray! Megs-how funny, I say that to my kids, and then "yous" all the time. You can take the girl out of NY but you can't take the NY out of the girl. I am super pumped about my GMen!! What a great game! Good morning Megs and Laura!
Here near Pittsburgh, it's "yunz" (as in "Good morning, yunz guys!"). Just wanted to say hi to you all. I haven't been around much lately--the family was sick. But today we seem to be improving quite a bit! Dh went to work and my older one went to school. Just after they both left, the snow started to come down here! Weather man says it's only gonna be a couple of inches...just enough to make the roads messy! I can't wait til we get a REAL snowfall!! (I'm talking 8-12 inches for good sledding!) Megs--Wow, yoga AND a haircut! You must be feeling well!! Laura--It's great that Dr. Krusz is right on top of that blood work! I'm happy to hear it's nothing major, but sometimes even little changes can make a big difference in migraine!! No big plans for today. Unfortunately, my medication and doctor expenses have taken a BIG chunk out of the family budget. No extra $$ to do anything til the end of the month...The kids don't mind being poor, though! My sister gave them BIG cardboard boxes from a new washer and dryer she bought over the weekend. They're having a BLAST playing in their little "houses!" Funny, they have all of these great toys but they are SO happy with cardboard boxes!! Have a great Tuesday, everyone! |

Oh mornin Jenn! Ya snuck in on me! Glad yall are starting to feel better! its about time!
I hear ya on the migraine expenses, we have spent over 350(thats just our copays!) in the last 2 months so far with this ONE migraine. Now its lookin like the med we just spent 30 copay on isnt helping but making worse. Isnt it amazing what the kids find amusing to play with?? Give my kids some chairs and a bunch of blankets, and they happy all day! (course I cant walk through my living room....) |

I woke at five with fibro pain and never really did get back to sleep. Grocery shopping was a big effort.
I start my new sleep routine Friday and I have a med that is supposed to help with fibro - I can't wait. Deb [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/] |

Good morning, yous guys!
I woke up a little late this morning (8:30 instead of 8), which meant I couldn't eat breakfast at home before I went to work. I did remember to bring it in with me though, so hopefully my head will stay ok. I didn't feel well at all last night - pain spiked up to a 5, vertigo, nausea, plus I had the "migraine cold" as I call it (those horrible cold chills where you just cannot get warm). The past three nights in a row I've woken up somewhere between 2:45-3:45 am, but luckily I've been able to fall back asleep easily. Hopefully my awful insomnia does not come back, since I've stopped the acupuncture. Today's pain is low so far. I actually had a decent head day yesterday in spite of the late evening migraine issues, so that made up somewhat for the crummy weekend. DBF and I still haven't gone to Ikea. We've got a week (from tomorrow) until my mom gets here, so we still have some time to get a spare mattress. I've added some light exercise into my routine. I'm going to try to take 15 or 20-minute walks at lunchtime. DBF and I did this yesterday, and it was a great way to enjoy the rare sunshine and not think about work. Planning on doing it again today. Megs, glad to hear that you did your yoga and got a haircut. You go girl! Laura, if you notice above I also said "yous guys". When I lived in NJ we were the same distance from both Philly and NYC, so we had a mix of both cities! Jenny, glad that your family is feeling better. I know you saw my comment on your sharepost, but I feel for you about the med expenses. It's great that your kids love cardboard boxes - I know I loved them when I was a kid! Tawsha, so sorry to hear you're feeling worse again. I think we all need to let the beastie know that he's worn out his welcome in your head! Deb, sorry to hear you woke up with fibro pain this morning. Good for you for going grocery shopping in spite of it. Hi Jenny-I'm glad to see you foruming again! I'm also happy to know the family is doing better too. Wow, that would be a ton of snow. My kids were ecstatic about the 1" we got Saturday night LOL
You brought back such funny memories talking about boxes and blankets. Aaaaaahhhh, back before they wanted Xbox, Ipods, memory sticks..... Tawsha-geez, your pain has gone on way too long...what is your doctor doing to help you? Get better!!!! Deb-I give you major kudo's for going food shopping while in such pain. I can't stand to go when I am feeling good. I hope you get better too. MJ-Good for you taking up walking. You excerise at the gym too right? I need to start doing some stretching and stuff at home. I just can't seem to get motivated. DH goes to the gym at work and, as much as I love him, I am not getting up at 4:30 to join him Alright guys, time for me to eat a little lunch...tummy is talking to me. Have a great one!! Dave - My DH is 5 days older than me - exactly - so every year I call him the geezer for 5 days... coming up, our birthdays are 1/30 and 2/4, so I get my annual tease in.

Well, I used to exercise at the gym. I haven't gone in ages. I want to add a tai chi class and swimming into my routine but they'll have to wait. For now, just some walking during the day will have to do. When I was in college, I used to get up at 6 am to go to the gym before class. I don't know how I was so motivated. -MJ my blog: http://rhymeswithmigraine.blogspot.com/ “HOPE CAN GROW FROM THE SOIL OF ILLNESS!” This is the theme of 2008’s National Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness Week in September. Aw ty MJ and Laura. My doc aint doin much! She added namenda almost 2 weeks ago. other than that she says we will just keep "chipping" away at it trying things. I emailed her today though, telling her its getting worse again. She never has been very agressive with this at all.

Today got off to a slow start at work today; the entire computer network was having trouble. Some people couldn't sign on, some could sign on but couldn't use certain programs, and others (like me) could use anything we wanted, but it was unbearably slow. They solved the problem after an hour or so. I did a few things and then left to work at a "field" location for the rest of the day.
I was very busy the second half of the day, and didn't get to accomplish everything I would have liked. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. |

For me it's been a busy day. We had Battle of the Books practice at lunch, and the school battle's tomorrow, so last minute prep stuff had us scootin' today. Third and seventh periods, which are our busiest and most draining, were especially so today. I also had to navigate very slick downtown streets to go to my endo appointment (a highlight, since she's a GODDESS!) and then home. All in windchills well below zero. BRRRRR! I'm going to go up and make some nice hot tea in a minute or two. Stay warm, all, and cozy! Dragondrool Forum Moderator ~~8=:>>>> |
