Hey all! Hope you are doing okay today! I couldn't sleep so I am up working on my narrative to take to Mayo. The date is finally counting down. We leave the 2nd.

I have a migraine headed my way...eyes are twitchy, head is cottony, ears are noisy....so I am going to try to go to sleep even though I am still wired. I have noted that I seem to have trouble sleeping for 1-3 nights before one of my killers attacks. Cross fingers this is a false alarm!

Everyone please feel AWAP! I will try to stop in later!

be blessed-
Dawn

Good morning everyone!

Dawn-I hope you're sleeping soundly and the beast stayed away. The countdown is on, how exciting!!

Work was a bit rough yesterday. I had to help unload a delivery truck. Mostly just moving the boxes from one end of the truck to the other but we did it non-stop for an hour and a half. I'm counting it as a cardio workout LOL My arms and back are killing me though!

My boss is going to be out of the office doing a different job next week so I'll be taking a crash course on his job today and tomorrow. That's cool, though, I like the challenge! Bring it on, baby!

Have a great day everyone!

Hey again.

Wow things are really slowing down in here lately. I hope everyone is doing ok!

Its that time again- lunch break. My head was aweful once I woke up today, but I am not doing as horrid right now. Thankfully I will make it through another work day, just fine Thumbs Up The kids are good again today too.

I really need some sleep though. I got 4 hours last might. Maybe a nap after work will help

Dawn- I hope you avoided that monster! If not, do feel better soon.

Laura- I hope you get some rest after that work out! and I hope the crash course goes well Wink

Dutchess- sounds like you are having a good day too.

I hope everyone else is doing well.

I am quite hungry today, so I am heading for my lunch. Then maybe that reading corner again Razzer lol. Gotta love the beanbag chairs, while the kids are out.
I will check in later. Have a good thursday

It's Thursday, which means tomorrow's Friday. Thank goodness. Even though I still work all weekend it's still a relief for the weekend to arrive.

Miserable today. Should have gone home after PT instead of attempting to come to work. My head is always worse after PT, and my neck isn't any better either. Kind of aggravated I'm spending all this money and getting nowhere. Really wish I could find someone to work for me tonight. Not really up for working, but the hotel is almost full again so I really don't have a choice.

Looking forward to Saturday. I really hope my head cooperates. I took the night off because a friend of ours is hosting a cystic fibrosis fundraiser. His son is almost 2 years old and suffers from CF. This is the first time he's organized a fundraiser for the CF Foundation. He's a local disc jockey and he's providing a night of entertainment for a $10 cover and they're doing raffles and such. DBF and I have been doing what we can to get people to donate things to raffle off. For Chris' sake I really hope the night is a success.

Dawn - hope you catch a break and you don't end up with a massive one. Fingers Crossed

Laura - glad you're enjoying the job, even though you did a lot yesterday.

Dutchess - hope you're having a good day.

Alaura - glad you're making it through the day. Hope you get to relax tonight.

Guess I should get back to work... I wish I could take a nap...

Hello everyone!

Guess what? Not only did we not get a summer here in NJ, we are not getting a fall either. Temps here now are what they are in December!! We are getting snow tonight...SNOW! I can't take this anymore! I need to move to a warmer climate!

Work has been crazy. I have some feelings of regret coming here....just because before I felt like I was helping people (I did medical billing and helped people with their bills and understanding their insruance policy). Now I feel like all I do is get yelled at by our customers who think they are the only people in the world. Everyone wants everything done yesterday. I really don't like dealing with people who feel they have a sense of entitlement....and they are no one special, just a sleezy restaurant owner or employee. Very few of our customers are nice and pleasant to deal with, not to mention, pay their bills and don't bounce checks! I am starting to think it may be a prerequisite to be a total social idiot in order to own a restaurant in NJ - I never dealt with this when in S.C. I don't know - I just need some time off.

Anyway - my noggin is yelling at me today - it's raining some very cold rain here right now. I'm sure it will end up being ice....it's only just 40 here so if it goes down just a few degrees we are done!

Last night I had a senior moment I think, although I am not sure if it was me or my cats. I have 2 cats that jump up on the sink when I go in the bathroom. They want me to turn the water on for them so they can drink from the tap. I clearly remember turning it off when I left the bathroom and went back to sleep. I think it was around 11pm.

At around 12 a.m. I hear something.....it's water running! I go check and yep! The water was on in the bathroom. I know I turned it off! I think maybe I didn't turn it completely off and that my cat (she is smart) managed to turn it up more. Either way, I'm glad I caught it and not DH - he would have flipped out! Blinking

So for now, I'm blaming the cat - until there is proof that it was me! Razzer

Everyone have a good day! All my Jersey Girls - stay warm!!!! It's gonna be crazy later!

Hi--

I taking it easy today. Trying to walk around a fair amount but no lifting or riding, etc. Yesterday I worked all morning and then went to the doctor. After sitting about 15 minutes in the waiting room, when I stood up to go back to the doctor's office I suddenly could hardly walk. My artificial hip was really hurting and not wanting to support my weight at all. It was like that all the rest of yesterday. Today it was somewhat better. I took a hot shower, slathered on the bengay, and took some ibuprofen. It seems a lot better now, but I'm taking it easy today to let it rest. I can't imagine what I did!!!

I start my new much higher dose magnesium infusions next week. It should be interesting. The lower dose ones helped but not as much as I would have liked. Dr. K. thinks the higher dose may make quite a difference.

Dawn--Hope you're managing to duck the "big one"

Laura--Hope you're feeling better after all the box lifting. Good luck with your bosses job

Alaura--Hope you get some more of that much needed sleep

Meli--Hope work is somewhat easy for you tonight since you have to do it. The fundraiser sounds really super. What a worthy cause.

Eileen--I know just what you're talking about. I've worked stores where all the customers seemed to think they were entitled, and it was really miserable.

Hope everyone has a AWAP day.

Hey all. Just a quick update from me. I'm feeling absolutely miserable today - side effects from the Celexa I started on Monday night. I have a call into my headache doc to see if I should try to wait them out or cross this med off the list. So frustrating. I really hate that my body reacts like this sometimes.

In better news, DF has an interview tomorrow with an actual architecture firm. I'm really hoping he gets the job - things will be much more secure if he can land something full-time with benefits. Please keep us in your thoughts, prayers, whatever.

That's about all from here. Trying to survive the afternoon at work, then I'm working tomorrow, then off until Monday. So if I do stick with the Celexa, at least my body will have time to get used to it.

Hope all are AWAP...

Hey Eileen,Send the snow my way!!! Big Grin
I'd love some snow in Virginia. All we got was mega rain today. I don't know if that contributed to the migraine I've been fighting all day. Weather issues don't generally bother my head but who knows.

Hey agian.

Just checking back in. It was a good day for the most part. The kids were good and I am relieved that tomorrow is friday! Thumbs Up My head was yelling at me today, but I did fine to get through the day. Maybe it was the sleep deprivation helping me not notice it, lol. I came home and took a little nap, now my head is really screaming at me. I took a shot and will be headed to bed soon.

Have a good friday guys! The weekend is getting close Yes I will check in tomorrow
