Happy St. Patricks Day everyone!

Not much going on in my world. I'm still battling the beast and once the kids are off to school I'm headed back to bed. I've been up since 3:00 Hair Raising not like me these days to do that.

Hopefully, I can sleep it off so I can go food shopping.

I hope everyone is well Thumbs Up

This is our first day of spring break and it's cold and rainy and thundering. Frowner

We have a few plans - a long lunch with dh. His company is so small that, even though he started as a design engineer, he's moved up to operations manager and until the company grows, he's wearing many different hats. We'd go have lunch with him and literally have to swallow our food whole and then Kath and I would suffer the rest of the afternoon. But this week he's promised us two hours!

And we're going to the local ceramics place to make something - I'm thinking a coffee cup for me. Kath made a Japanese vase in art that is amazing, I can't wait to see what she comes up with. Nikoli doesn't seem too thrilled, but maybe he'll get into it.

Laura, I hope your sleep does you some good.

Lori, I hope the beast stays away.

Eileen, good cheerleading - send in those letters!

Hi, gals! Thought I'd check in before I caught my plane to Nashville.

Doing OK so far today. I'll take a Relpax before the plane takes off, just in case. I get to cool my jets in O'Hare in Chicago for a couple of hours. Get this: Central Mississippi to Chicago to Nashville!

Coming home, I go through Dallas/Fort Worth. 100% chance of rain that day in Nashville. Only 30% here, so if we can take off in Dallas, we should fly out of it. Nashville will be about 10 degrees colder than here. High of 79 predicted for here, and I'm going to spend the day on airplanes. Oh, well. The trip will be productive. And it's better and more predictable than driving.

DS's spring break was last week. His GF's is this week, and so is the public and private schools around here. [BAD sentence!] DS will be home Thursday for Easter. He thinks he's off Monday, too. The 4-day weeks are hard on him.

I hope the next few days are great for everyone! I'll catch up sometime Thursday. I see my local Neurologist Thursday morning. And then my Botox doc sometime next week. Lots of appointments!

Good Morning All--

Had a medium h.a. around 5a.m. but treated with Zomig and west back to bed for a few hours and feel fine now. Laura--hope a little sleep helps you to feel better too. When I got up and looked out the window I could see the front in the west heading in so that explained the h.a. I hadn't watched the weather all weekend so was a bit surprised.

The Verapamil has begun to work for DH. He has skipped his daily cluster for the past 2 days, making life so much better around here. I understand how bad clusters can be, but DH is always SO-O-O dramatic about ANY pain he has. I'm more the silent sufferer, just want to hide and be left alone. DH will suffer horribly until he can get to ME to give him his Imitrex injection! If it was in a syringe that would be one thing but an injector?!?! I'm so relieved he's better!!!!!!

Eileen--I sent my letter last week--and to a representative I actually know and have had personal dealings with (hope that will help a little more)

Deb--Hope the lunch goes well. Since I work in the health care industry most of my lunches involve a 5 minute gulp it down so I can truly empathize. I have so much trouble eating slowly and not looking like a barbarian when dining in public or with normal people.

I'm going to call my orthopedist's physical therapist today. I'm having no problem with strenghening exercises with my shoulder. But the shoulder stretches (the warmup part) is leaving me in a cold sweat and with even a bit of nausea. I don't think I'm making any progress there either. Think I need some PT.

Hope everybody has a good pain-free day.

Hi everybody!

Laura, feel better soon! I sure hope a nap will chase the migraine away!

Stress headache, stay FAR away from Lori! Devil

Eileen, thanks for the reminder! My letter went in some time last week...And my brothers and sister wrote several, too!

Deb, enjoy your long family lunch! My kids would love to do the ceramics! I have to put that on our activity list soon! Smiler

Gretchen, have a safe, informative trip! Be sure to check in with us later in the week!

Tracie, I'm sure glad your head is better! And it's terrific that your DH's verapamil is working!

We had a very busy weekend! Several Easter egg hunts, a birthday party, a Penguins hockey game, and a trip to the museum! (Droolie, I saw your post the other day...You can always join us at the museum if you can get to Pittsburgh!!!! Smiler) Things went very well until the museum--very shortly after we arrived, my younger son started looking very pale and he got really hot with a fever. I went to the car with him while DH took my older son to see the dinosaurs. My little one fell asleep in the car til the others were ready to go home. He's still running a yucky fever today...

Last night I got what must've been a migraine without the pain (thanks to my nerve block). I got the nausea and aura and a little tiny twinge of something in my head--but no real pain. Took some meds and woke up feeling postdromey. It sure was "nice" to not have the pain...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Good morning -

I'm on day two of this yucky, pooey, no good, stinky, bleccchy, blah, arrrgh, phooey, grrr sinus infection! Teri if I trip the word filter at least I hope you get a good laugh out of it! Who was aspiring to move up to pond scum recently? I think pond scum might be an improvement on whatever life form I am right now! Devil

The only green I'm wearing so far is the stuff coming out of my nose... Ugggh! Sorry if I'm getting gross. I will have to search out my green sweat-shirt for lying around in. I will not be cooking corned beef & cabbage tonight or lifting my head off the pillow but hopefully Danny will make some. He's feeling a bit overwhelmed right now after coping with a weekend with a sickly wife, broken drier, all chores & kid-ferrying, etc. At least I can call the repair service while I lie around! Roll Eyes

Tracie I'm so glad DH is getting some relief, which will give you some, too! Hope you get that shoulder under control soon! Thumbs Up

Gretchen good luck with all that flying! The way they route planes is a mystery! Hey, isn't that fuel supposed to be expensive to our economy and the environment? Anyway I hope your appointment goes well. Fingers Crossed

Deb can I come to the ceramics place too? Sounds like fun to me, oh, nope, Mom says I have to stay in bed... Frowner

Eileen - Hi, and thanks for the AHDA reminder - today's the day, y'all! Yes

Lori I hope things calm down and you can breathe more freely (and keep those headaches at bay)! Deep breathing does help with tension and hecticness! Angel

Laura I hope you get some sleep Zzzz'z and get that beastie gone!

I go to my PCP at 5 today - and I finally have enough symptoms that he will give me antibiotics to kick these sinus Martians in their gloppy little you-know-wheres. I don't love taking antibiotics, but that's the only thing that sends the unwanted aliens away, and even then it often takes a week for them to leave... Sigh.

A good day to all. It's sunny & beautiful here.

Hi everyone, and get well soon wishes to Megs's sinuses. I was the one aspiring to pond scum!

I had a great weekend. I made it TWO WHOLE DAYS without a migraine. First time since mid-Feb. And it was a Sat/Sun! That hasn't happened since early Jan. Even tho I don't work anymore, my migraine pattern is still somewhat burned in for weekend "letdown" migraines. Either that or DH is a trigger!! Big Grin

Today I'm up and around a bit more, but still staying inside today and tomorrow.

That crane that collapsed in NYC crushing a building and killing 4 people was just 15 blocks south of us. I could hear all the sirens and knew something was going on so I turned on the local TV. While it could have been worse, it was bad enough. Too many construction/infrastructure disasters in this city/country lately. That's not supposed to happen here.

We enjoyed the first hour of the John Adams miniseries last night, but saved the second hour to watch later so I wouldn't get a migraine from watching too much TV.

Well, time for lunch. I'm on a bland diet for a couple days to get my tummy troubles settled down, so it's going to be plain bagel, a spoonful of chicken salad, and a glass of lactose-free milk. Oh, and one square of chocolate for dessert!

Have a good day, everyone!

I feel invisible.

It's amazing how people can overlook you just because you're temporarily out of commission. And want to close the door and say "don't look over there" when showing a place off.

I'm in a good deal of pain this afternoon- not my head, but elbow, and I'm in a sling.

And a little overwhelmed by the thought that I have weeks more of this to go.

Very scared of MOH, but what can I do? It's either take the drug or don't. So far so good. I'm not rebounding... But I'm starting to have tension in my shoulders and neck- which is not good. I'll use the TENS unit when I get home.

I think this might be my longest no-migraine streak. Ironic, isn't it?

Hi yall,
Just thought I would pop in real quick and say hi. Awful beasty this AM. All last week and continuing this week has been real bad for me. Just sent an email to my Neuro.

My lil man TJ has been real sick all weekend, and still today. Fever, stuffy nose, and real bad chest congestion and cough. He had a migraine last night too. poor kid. It didnt get too bad though. He had his pinewood derby race for cub scouts this weekend. His car did so-so, ran about the middle of the pack. He was a bit disapointed, as his cars had gotten first and 3rd place in the past years. But he still had fun! I had to give him Tylenol cold medicine to help him get through the race day at least somewhat fever, cough and drip free. I rarely do that, as it sets colds worse in his chest it seems.

I hope yall get feeling better who are sick!(Megs, Jamie, Laura..)did I miss anyone? Im in such a brain fog today sorry.

Have a great day yall and Email those letters if ya havnt already! Thumbs Up
