Good morning,

This is going to be a quick greeting. We are running around getting ready to see the first showing of Iron Man. Five dollars a ticket, you can't beat that price!

Then, when we come home, one more final coat of burgandy. I mean it this time, final coat LOL. Then a the family is taking me out for a Mother's Day Dinner.

I hope everyone is doing great today. Happy Mother's Day to all you mom's out there!!

Not much to report yet. I got up and ate breakfast, and now I'm checking on the forum.

Later I'll go to church. As soon as I get some lunch, I may go out to the nursing home to see my father. I really need to make a quick run to the grocery store at some point. And there's always laundry.

At least my head has cooperated since Monday, in spite of some horrendous weather.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Happy Mother's Day to all of you mother's. We have a bit of fog here this morning and it's cool. But it will burn off as it does and be very nice, thought not super hot today. Fine with me!

I left home yesterday at 5:45 am to drive up to Sacramento to watch my daughter's season ending championship races. They are regional finals that qualify the crew teams for Nationals. Her boat (Woman's Varsiety 8) has been making finals in their races all season, but in the finals always coming in 4th. Which gives them no metals and no glory. Well yesterday they not only placed first in their heat to qualify for the finals, they places 3rd in the finals. So they got metals and qualified to go to Nationals. There was one happy boat of girls. Us parents were pretty happy too. We know how hard they have worked.

It was a long hot day though. The park fortunatley has lots of trees for shade, but as I said, this was a regional event with 20 teams from as far away as Arizona and Utah. We could have used more trees!!!

Today I'm laying low. I'll do some stuff here at home, probably grocery shop to avoid that during the week and clean some house.

Take care everyone

Cindy

Mornin yall!

Laura, good luck with the "last coat" and have a GREAT time at the movies and a Great Mothers Day!

Nutcracker your day sounds pretty much like mine! Gonna leave for church here in a little bit, then gotta do a BUNCH of laundry, go to DH parents and help them with a few things, and shopping. Tee Hee! Though I will probably shop while DH helps parents. I dont like shopping with DH around! Hard to stay on budget when he is with me! ARRG! Tee hee. He is worse than the kids! Too many things look good to him in a store...

Cindy, Congrats on your DD boat team! How exciting for all of you! My sis-in-law is on a Dragon boat team. They work really hard, so I know what those girls have been doing! Congrats again!

Happy Mothers Day yall!

Good morning and Happy Mother's Day -

I got up and had my coffee and toast at 8, then just had breakfast #2 in bed, homemade cornmeal waffles and bacon, yum! Mother's Day treat - watch Mom's hips expand before your eyes!

So far, no head pain this morning and I think I'm feeling better - really haven't been up much to test it. We had an outing to a sculpture garden planned for this afternoon and I don't know yet if I'm up to it. I'll try a shower (radical notion) and see how I am after that.

Enjoy the day everyone. Here it's breezy, scattered clouds, 60's - a gorgeous day!

Laura enjoy Iron Man and your Mom's Day dinner!

Nut I hope you have a nice quiet day.

Cindy congrats on Pepper's race - sounds great!

Happy Mother's Day to all our fabulous moms!

We went out for breakfast and now I'm playing while dh and the kids cook our portion of the meal for his mom's lunch.

I got a book I wanted and the CD/DVD of Josh Groban's latest concert. That was Kath's idea - she said it was a double present so I suspect she will hijack it to put on her MP3 player.

The weather here is awful - storms last night, windy today - I'm talking 50 mph gusts here. My head is not cooperating.

I'm off to read my book. I hope everyone has a nice day.

Happy Mother's Day to Everyone--

I just managed to crawl out of the sack, but am feeling better this morning. I'm actually able to really sleep in between coughing spells now. Hopefully, my Mother's day will consist of a couple of nice long naps interpersed with reading.

Laura--I can already see that gorgeous dining room.

Nut--It's always a blessing when you can do something so special as a nursing home visit. I'll be keeping my fingers hoped for no migraine.

Cindy--How wonderful that all the girls' hard work has paid off. I'll be pulling for them in the finals (too bad I'm not much of a rower)

Megs--I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. Wanta go shopping with me. Gretchen said she was going to Coldwater Creek the other day. Think I may go there via the laptop today. This is my birthmonth so I have a couple of $ off coupons and I always shop there whenever I have those. Their clothes fit me super well and look so great on me. And I don't have to go try them on. (Lazy, huh)

Alexander, my 21 month old grandson, is having eye surgery again tomorrow morning, so I really need to be rid of this cruddy whatever it is. He has crossed eyes. They already did 1 operation and believe 2 surgeries will completely fix it. They're doing it Monday because they're trying to get it done before Auriana is born. Poor Crystal, she's trying to just not have the baby between now and Monday night.
After that--we'll all be rooting for ASAP--she's so miserable!!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful moms! Flower

I'm still migraining. I get breaks so, it hasn't been straight for the last 14 days...but I've had a migraine the last 14 days. Devil

We're supposed to leave on Weds for CA for my sister-in-law's graduation from medical school. I really want to go. I'm praying these hormonal migraines are gone by then.

Hope everyone has a nice Sunday.

Kelly

Morning all. And happy Mother's Day to all of you wonderful mothers here! for the first time since high school I'll be seeing my mom close to Mom's Day, since I'm flying back east tomorrow to land there on Tuesday morning. Unfortunately I haven't finished knitting her scarf, but it's a tradition in my family that we show the unfinished project and say, "I'll finish this soon!" Smiler Oh well.

I have to pack today, and run errands. My flight leaves at 11:30 pm tomorrow night, I think, so I want to be ready to go before I go to work tomorrow. My head is doing ok so far today, but I'm only doing the essential errands and buying the other stuff I need when I get there. I need to take it easy on my head! (I'm saying this for my sake.) I have a tendency to overdo it.

I'm going to spend a bit of time here before I get dressed and head out. Can't respond to all of you but I'm thinking of you all. Have a great Sunday! Heart

Feeling like something ran over me today. My head hurts, my elbow's acting up, and wouldn't you know it, I put off all of my chores until today. At least i changed the cat litter box, so that's one thing done... But I'm just not up to doing much other than chilling on the couch. I hope DH will understand. We've had a few snippity moments over my lack of chores-doing (even thought most of the time I had a good reason)

I really want some diet coke, but that involves driving. And that I'm not going to do. I think the migraine is a caffeine- withdrawal and weather beastie. I also have maxed out on triptans for 24 hours, and the throb is gaining on me.

Ah- now I know why I feel so migrainey- we have a tornado watch going!
I'm thinking DH will have to deal.

Happy mother's day to all of you moms!

Happy Mother's Day, everyone!

Kelly, 14 days, oh noes!!!!! I can really relate to that, as that's what I've been doing lately. I sure hope it breaks for you soon. You'll be in my thoughts.

Jamie, is it possible you might have chronic fatigue syndrome or fibromyalgia? If you've mentioned it before, I've forgotten, so forgive me. The reason I ask is that feeling like you got run over, especially when you first get up, is a huge symptom of fibro or CFS. It's called "unrefreshed sleep," and it's actually a sleep disorder called alpha-wave anomaly. The lack of good sleep then triggers the pain all over. There are nice meds for it (ie, no major side effects, not too expensive) that can make a huge difference. They will have to pry my Elavil out of my cold dead hands before I would give it up!! LOL!! Just a thought, hon. Take what you like and leave the rest.

I'm doing okay today again! Mig last night but so far today feeling pretty good. Cool and sunny again. I actually did some work on my window boxes yesterday, cleaning up all the dead foliage from last fall. It looks so much better. My "Purple Petticoats" coral bells survived the winter as did the ivy. Don't know if I'll have the energy to actually buy and pot some flowers this year. We'll see.

Nothing on my to do list today but read the paper. Already called my mom. DH is out getting his weekly sports massage. I sure wish I enjoyed massages but I just don't. Oh, well. I updated my mig diary for my appt tomorrow, so I just have to print it and the meds list.

Happy healthy day, everyone.

LauraSue.
(I'm 55, have had severe migraines for over 4 years due to menopause, plus I have fibromyalgia. I take Imitrex plus Anaprox as an abortive and am working with my migraine specialist to find a preventive. I keep a detailed migraine diary and have made significant lifestyle changes to reduce my risk of migraines.)

It IS possible... Actually, I've been thinking about that recently. I definitely don't have fibro- discussed that with a doctor. But CFS is a possiblity. One that I'm really not in the right state to deal with right now. The elbow is from an injury when I fell down the stairs at work. I DO have a SSNRI- related sleep disorder- wouldn't surprise me at the least if the insomnia from that had morphed into something else over the years. I've been on sleep meds for almost 10 years now, and when I get up, I feel refreshed. But I DO need more sleep than most folks, and it wasn't like that before the migraines.

Now that my body's trying to heal from the elbow injury, I'm thinking that I've gone back to needing more sleep to "heal myself." Other ailments I have- like my neck- were done in car accidents... So, my ON comes out of that. But, Unfortunately, I'm going to have to put the whole thought of more stuff medically wrong with me on the shelf right now- I need to work through some things in my personal life ASAP and then I can divert some energy to possibly even doing a sleep study to see what's really going on.

Thanks for the thoughts, and for caring!
