Happy Giant's Monday! What a game huh? I'm so excited we pulled it out after so many years. Not to mention stopping their undefeated streak.

I'm just popping in for now since I was up so late celebrating (sssshhh, I even drank TWO beers! - a true wild woman).

I'll be back later after I get the kids off to school and get a nap Fingers Crossed

BTW-I did my happy dance a lot last night!! I thought of you Eileen LOL; oh yeah, is that my puppy you stole??? Big Wink

Oh, sorry - I didn't see you had the doggie too!!!!

What a game huh!!?? The whole time I'm watching I'm thinking "I wonder how Laura's doing??"

My friends husband cried when they won! It was great!

Yep everyone is super tired today from the super bowl. I think I'm going to sleep at my desk today. I got less then 5 hours of Zzzz'z and I need at least 8 to feel good.

Oh well, I'll catch up tonight.

Hi Everyone,
I am going to see my doc in a few minutes, so I am getting ready for another disappointment. (Ok, I am pesimistic, he should surprise me) We are going to discuss the appointment with the second opinion doc. So I guess my eyes, what's next as far as preventives, whether it's Sansert or not. I am also going to tell him that I am this [] close to losing it.

And it is my sister's birthday today. So I hope I can pull it together for her. Birthday Cake for Ivana.

Happy Monday and congrats to all the Giants fans. I have to admit we do not like football in this house, but I caught dh flipping to the game when we got home to see the score. I did too, just curious.

Kath went to school today. I think the worst is behind her but she's still hacking like an old smoker.

I hate the melting snow! That mud is worse than plain ole rain mud and the dog is tracking it all over the kitchen! I see a mop in my near future.

Going to be a wild week of weather again - warm temps, chance of severe thunderstorms and it all ends in snow, again, on Wednesday.

I don't think it's spring yet - someone needs to tell Mother Nature.

Yeah Deb, and the groundhog did see his shadow (at least around here) so we should have 6 more weeks of winter - but we have hardly had 6 weeks of it yet! Wink

I caught bits of the game - I was pretty wiped and fighting off a migraine - I think I won Fingers Crossed. But the last few minutes sure were exciting! Dem Giants! How about that. All my New England relatives are disappointed.

Thanks for the b-day wishes - I slept in til 8 this a.m. (Woopee! Big time!) and Danny made me french toast. I'm 49!!!!! Am I a big girl now? Big Grin Aunt Virginia & Uncle Ed are still here - they leave early tomorrow - so we'll all go out for a celebratory dinner tonight. I'm working a few hours but taking the rest of the day off. It's light sleet out - yuck. I've had snow days on my birthday many times, so I always do hope!

Tawsha I'm glad you found something and good luck with your rapid move! Good Luck

Eva i hope your pessimism turns to at least some optimism - good luck! And Happy Birthday to your sister! Birthday Cake

I hope you all enjoy your day. I'll catch you again later.

- Megs

Hi all!

I am just dragging this morning. I didn't fall asleep until well after 2 am last night. And not because I was up celebrating. It was because the horrible nighttime vertigo and nausea I had almost all of last year has returned with a vengeance. I took some promethazine which was what finally helped me get to sleep. *sigh*

Friday evening at 5:15 the scheduler for my HA specialist called, which I missed, so now I'll try to get in touch with her today. They may finally be able to schedule me for the Botox. I'm starting to feel really desperate so some good news would be nice!!

This weekend was mostly good - my mom is in town, so we went out to eat on Saturday, and hit both the yarn store and quilting store this weekend. Her flight home to MA leaves tonight around 10:30. I'll be sad to see her go.

Teri's book came in the mail on Friday and I finished it yesterday. Everyone here is right - it's absolutely a must-have. I added some questions to the list for the next time I see my doc.

I guess that's all the news from here. I got my period yesterday which means I have awful cramps today. I took some ibuprofen which should knock them down a peg or too.

Hope everyone has a good Monday. Heart

Hi friends!

Congrats to all you Giants fans! Smiler

Happy birthday to Megs and to Eva's sister, Ivana! Birthday Cake Group HugI sure hope you all have a wonderful day!

Deb, I'm glad to hear Kath is doing a bit better. Sometimes that cough likes to hang on, huh? DH calls his doc for prescription cough medicine when it gets bad for him. Our kids like Delsym cough medicine--it lasts 12 hours and doesn't make you sleepy.

Tawsha, I'm heading over to the other thread to check out your moving info. I'm so glad you found a place! The whole situation still stinks, though! Thumbs Down

MJ, I sure hope the scheduler is calling about your Botox! Fingers Crossed Keep us posted!

Here at my house, things are pretty quiet. I just canceled a lunch date with friends (migraine is bad today and I'm pretty sick to my stomach). I'm hoping to work on my taxes later today. I've gotta itemize those medical expenses!!!

Anyway, just wanted to say hi!

Group HugHey there! I'm doing the posting today since my Sol is wiped from her early morning kidney treatments. For now she is sleeping but once she wakes up I will make her stay in bed or on the couch. Until my mother in law returns on the 25th (with the twins) my boss is allowing me to work from home on her treatment days.

I'm going to give it a whirl but if I miss anyone please know that its not personal!!!

Megs- Happy Birthday from Sol and I!!!! Birthday Cake Hopefully you won't have to put too many hours in at work and can enjoy your birthday dinner tonight!! I have never worked on my birthday even when it ment that I wouldn't get paid for that day. I figure that I deserve one day a year that is all about me. Big Grin

Laura- So glad that G-men won!!! I enjoy pro football but Sol is the true fan in our house. I like college football better. Sol is dedicated to her Broncos and Steelers but she really loved last nights game. I don't think she stopped jumping up and down and yelling the last 3 minutes of the game. I hope that you're able to nap and recover from all that partying you wild girl you. Big Wink

Eileen- I hope that your lack of sleep doesn't trigger an attack in you. I know that it does in Sol but she only sleeps in 90 minute chunks. Have a good day and catch up on those zzzzzzz's or else I'll stick Sollie on ya!!! TRUST ME you don't want that!! Devil

Eva- We will be praying that your visit with your Doc goes better than you expect. I know it can be hard to remain positive or hopeful so I'm hoping that the visit helps change that. Good Luck Happy birthday to you sister. Birthday Cake

Tawsha- Good luck with the move. We heard about the sleeze ball Skillet that scammed you. I'm sorry that you have been hurt by him and that you must move. Moving isn't easy in the best of situations let alone when you feel ill. Also, both Sol and I are praying that your appointment with your "second opinion" Neuro goes well. Good Luck

Deb- Its good to hear that Kathy is back at school. That cough can hang on forever!! My oldest boy who is in highschool and NEVER misses a day of school was home 4 days last week. He's back now but he too is still hacking. We hope that Kathy continues to feel better. Flower

MJ- I hope that as the day goes on your energy increases. Do you take promethazine tabs? Sol gets injections (home use) of 50mg promethazine every 8 hours or so and she definately gets sleepy from them. Zzzz'z She has tabs as well but sometimes she just can't keep any of her meds in so the shots are the back up plan. We will pray that your Mom has a safe trip home tonight. We will also pray that your HA specialist squeezes you in soon!!!! Good Luck

Jenny- Taxes while having a migraine? Eeker I've only had one migraine but I can't imagine doing taxes during one. Heck, doing my taxes may CAUSE a migraine attack! Hair Raising Seriously though, we hope that while the house is quiet that you can rest and try to beat that migraine down to a dull roar. Skillet

Dar- Its awesome that you're having such a good day. Big Grin I know that when Sol has a day where she feels pretty good her face lights up and she feels like she can do anything!! Have a great day and have fun catching up on paper work.

Phew I think that I got everyone (Unless someone posted while I was writing this. Have a great day and Sol will be on later I am sure.

Peace,

Dave Group Hug

Megs, dh cooks me my birthday dinner. I get one ginormous king crab leg and his homemade shrimp scampi alfredo. We eat that twice a year, on New Year's Eve and my birthday. Big Grin

I've had enough winter - my poor kitchen floor!

MJ - yarn, mmmmmmmm.

Happy Birthday Eve's sister! Birthday Cake

Jenny, our kids use Delsym, too. Nothing else OTC works that well.

Hi, all!

Not much going on for me, right now. I'm just catching up on posts under a bit of Midrin sleepiness. Nothing major. The beastie was kicked before it had much of a chance. Now I just deal with that "contented" feeling from the med I used to kick it.

In a couple of hours I need to run over to church to take the minutes in for the board meeting and officially relinquish the stuff to the newly elected scribe person and just kind of show her how things go. It's not a hard job, generally.

Then I get to come home and devote the rest of the evening to me time. Big Grin

I got up feeling really good, and drove through dense fog--safely--to arrive at my office at 7 A.M. Another team member arrived at 7:15 A.M., and our team leader arrived at 7:30 A.M. By 8 A.M., I knew I had a migraine, and I took Axert. Knocked it right out!

We went to our work location for this week, and got a lot accomplished. We're starting at our standard 7:30 A.M. time tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to taking my bedtime meds and going to bed.

Everyone take care.

Yea Giants!

DH and I loved that game last night. The last several minutes I had my face in his shoulder. I just couldn't watch. I get too excited about those things and it make my headache worse. So, I waited for DH's reaction and watched the replays. Smiler With all our cheering, our poor dog thought something bad had happened. Laura, I am so happy for your team. It was great to be a superbowl day fan.

Today has been odd and slow. I did go to Michael's but they didn't have what I wanted so I came back empty handed. This afternoon, I was knocked out by meds. So, that was boring. Razzer

Last night we got a few more inches of snow. This morning when I got out of the shower, it was lightning and thundering. Very strange. It rained today. So, much of the snow is melting. But we had so much from that other system (10-12 inches) plus last night that there is lots on the ground still despite the rain. Another system is supposed to be coming through tomorrow night wiht more snow. Craziness.

Have a good night, all.

Kelly
