Hi all..
I was looking thru some old threads, many of you mentioned your "favorite cookbooks" low in salt recipes and so forth.. I am in search of some. There wasn't any titles. Any recommendations on a low salt or healthier cook book? I owuld love your suggestions Lori |

Our favorite cookbook is the Better Homes & Garden cookbook - the plaid one. We end up modifying pretty much all recipes we use out of cookbooks to fit my diet (no gluten or dairy; low sugar and salt). This one has easy recipes that are very tasty, and easy to modify.
We also have a slow cooker cookbook we use a lot since DBF loves to use the crock pot. I can't remember the name of it offhand but I can look it up. The easiest way we've found to eat a healthier diet (and to keep my diet) is to cook more from scratch and stay away from boxed or frozen meals. Most pre-made sauces are off the menu too. -MJ my blog: http://rhymeswithmigraine.blogspot.com/ "What will you do, if it does not turn out how you expect?" "I do not know. Nor shall I worry about it until it happens. I still have an action left to take; until I have exhausted it, I shall not despair." - Robin Hobb, Assassin's Quest |
