Wow, what a day. I'm not sure if there has ever been a day when two such stars died.
I always liked Farrah from her Charlie's Angels days. She turned into a good actress. I loved Michael's Thriller years - those songs bring back memories of first being married and staying up late and watching Friday Night Videos on NBC - anyone remember that? So sad. It certainly was a sad day yesterday. I remember watching Charlie's Angel's as a kid and dancing to Beat It in my basement.
I hope Farrah gets more coverage, right now it's all Michael. It was so sad to hear about Ed McMahon too. Laura Forum Moderator |

I think stars make us very aware of mortality, because with all their media coverage and make-up and cosmetic surgery and personal trainers and what-not, they don't seem to age the way we do. Certainly it shocked me that Farrah Fawcett died, but I really couldn't believe she was 60 (or so...) to begin with! Very sad. And Michael Jackson - I don't like a lot of what he's done with his life, but he's MY age! Yikes! And he was an amazing talent, and such a cute little boy pop star - when I was in Middle School he was IT. You just couldn't even listen to anything else but the Jackson Five!
What a shock - and Ed McMahon too, in the same week! |
