a few quotes:

"A migraine is a form of headache that is typically more severe and debilitating. A migraine often feels like a throbbing or pulsating pain, whereas a headache is usually just mild discomfort in the head."

"There are two types of migraines: one with aura beforehand and one without."

(really? what about our hemiplegic migraineur friends here? Basilar folks?)

"Since they are often triggered by stress, stress reduction therapies such as yoga, relaxation techniques and exercise can help prevent the occurrence"

(TRIGGERED by stress? Hair Raising um...no. Wrong wording.)

The rest isn't as bad... just thought someone might want to tackle this! I'll be there later!

My second try

Migraine is not a headache. Migraine is a genetic neurological disease. It has phases to it- prodrome, (where some feel that something's off, or have trouble finding the correct word), aura, (headache phase) and postdrome.(Which can feel like a hangover) In children, often you see a "silent migraine" where it's just manifested as stomach upset, possible fever and nausea and vomiting.

There are more than 2 types of Migraine. These two are just the most common. The author of this article leaves out Hemiplegic and Basilar Migraine. Hemiplegic migraine can resemble a stroke or TIA, where body parts can become numb. It's important to know about this form of migraine, 'cause an abortive given to a Migraineur who just has Migraine with aura can be dangerous for a Hemiplegic Migraineur.

Stress is not a trigger for Migraine. Stress is a trigger for Tension Type Headaches.

Stress is, however a contributing factor to migraine when one is already being triggered by something and that is the "icing on the cake so to speak.

Knowledge is power. If you suffer from Migraines, go to a Neurologist or Headache Specialist. Family doctors usually aren't up on the newest treatments, or even sometimes the whole disease process.

If you are taking OTC meds more than EIGHT TIMES A MONTH for migraines it is time to see your doctor? What happened to preventives if you have more than two or three migraines per month?

You will find my comment on the page, under the screen name known to all of you.
