Since Migraine and Mental health issues are often co-morbid, I have a feeling that quite a few of us have some experience with what this particular "expert" has to say about work in a "mental health center"

Here's the link! Go to it! I'll be over there in a few!

The blogger responded to your comment, Jamie, if you haven't seen it already.

I posted a comment, too. Not sure what good it will do, other than bring a potential troll to my blog. Roll Eyes

Thumbs Up

Hi MJ, Meg, and Jamie I read your posts and added my 2 cents. I really appreciate your post Jamie. As one who survived swallowing a bottle of Tylenol, also I wish to support and acknowledge the depth of your story and how much courage it took to share it. Thank you for sharing.

Jamie, yours is the story of my younger daughter's too. Group Hug

She has to manage her major depression just like a diabetic has to manage blood glucose levels, and she will forever.

Major depression runs rampant in our extended family and so does suicide.

My girl is studying psychology now and wants to be a licensed counselor. I'm as proud of her as I am of you. Flower

Yeah, I commented on the "Little theory". Hope we all can make a difference.

Thanks all for your comments. It was definitely not an easy post to write, but it's my history, and seeing your positive responses to my openness and the comment that I wrote just makes me glad that I did say something... and hopefully made someone think for a split second that I could have been their relative...

Hugs,

Jamie

Jamie I don't talk about it a whole lot because it's not my issue to talk about but my daughter and husband both have had major depression - and for me, I've had significant depressive episodes myself, though mine have been more isolated. What MW said applies for us too.

Anyway I just think it takes a lot of courage to talk about it and it's something people need to know about and acknowledge and deal with so I give you lots and lots of credit for that. Thanks, hun!
