Migraine

Some of you read the comments and discussion on my SharePost about whether to capitalize Migraine or not. You can find that discussion HERE.

So, I thought you'd like to read what Mr. Coles wrote about all of this on his blog. He said he'd learned from us. He didn't. Sigh.

Ugh! I just read his blog. He took certain things from what we said and put his own twist to it. How frustrating! He is definitely set in what he believes. The terrible thing is there are others out there that will fall into the same belief. That will just make things harder on us.

I guess this will just make us fight harder to get the real facts about Migraines out there.

What's interesting here is that he is changing his tone somewhat. I don't know that he'll ever give up his theories - people rarely do when they are invested in them! But since he first started commenting on MJ & my blogs some months back he has toned himself down some.

There may be some who jump on this as their anti-established medicine way to go, but I think all in all he doesn't have much credibility. He has next to no comments on his blog - and doesn't even get ranked on one of the site ranking services I look at.

I must not be fully "accepting" each Migraine as a "learning opportunity" considering my head still hurts all the time. Obviously a lesson I haven't learned yet!

And I must not truly "believe" I can heal either, since I haven't been "cured" of my Migraines! I'm glad he posted this "clarification" so I could learn what I'm doing wrong.

I guess that Glenn still hasn't learned that Migraine is more than just a bad headache!

All it seems that he got out of our posting is that we are attacking him. He is a very lucky man that mind over matter works, for him now. I just hopes others will be curious about the discussion on Healthcentral and come looking from us.

We maybe tilting at windmills with certain part of the population out there in cyberspace.

Oh, I was SOOOO gonna email him but it's clear he's just too stupid to understand anything. I like how he also avoided answering any of the questions I asked, too. We respect that a lot in debate, we really do.

His attitude is very telling too. He's in a "unique" position to discover the root of migraine! Better people than you have tried and failed, buddy, and by better people, I mean those who have at least 10 years of medical school and 25+ years of medical experience!

Also he fudges the word "cure" a lot. I really hate how he's like, "I have a cure!" But, then, he's all: "a cure means that you eliminate your disease! But I had a migraine last week, but I am cured! Should I push my cure on everyone else even though I just said a cure meant total obliteration of a disease though I just admitted to having a migraine?!"

I notice he hasn't kept his promise to contact the media, either.

He's arrogant, and he stinks just like everyone else who believes they are smarter and "more unique" with special gifts to cure the ailing.

I'm going to stop now before I begin to spit nails.

He is one leopard who's spots won't change.

He contradicts himself through out his whole "blog" explaining himself.

"migraines are not neurological" so therefore there should be a "cure" to "there is no cure"

Whatev! I'm so over this guy!

The next time he posts on this site, and I have no doubt he will, I'm going to reply to him and remind him that he accepted my challenge and should not come back with his unproven theories until he meets my challenge. He will not be permitted to post again until he does. Hah!

That's the best thing Teri. Don't waste our time with his lies again. You have established for those who are curious in the future that his ideas are lacking.

I must say I have been hearing about this Glen guy for a long time.
It does not make me mad in fact it makes me sad!

LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE AND i AM NOT RELATED TO HEALTH CENTRAL

I have delt with doctors that are uninformed and do not want to learn about Migraine Disease. You can't make someone believe something that they have a vested interest in.

Bottom line
Some you can educated and some you just have to give up on.
perhaps someday Glem will get cancer or diabetes and we then tell him it does not exist! Lets see how he would like that then.

Bottom line...there is so much about this guy on the sites and THAT IS WHAT HE WANTS!

Perhaps he is a Scientologist....anyway you slice it he does not deserve our time!

Lets educate those that really want to understand. I know people like him can get others up set...but truly he is not worth our time.

Glenn, there are many ways to manage Migraine. Doesn't sound like you've found anything new or special if you're still having unpredictable attacks that require you to take action to stop them. That is ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENT from migraine management programs.

You have a lot of reading ahead of you, young man, before you can hold up your head in this community, not to mention your agreement to contact the media. Try to back up your assertions from credible sources--you have not established yourself as a credible source--and you'll be STUNNED at how ridiculous you sound.

We will accept your acknowledgment of that fact. We don't care if you disagree with us--you just have to be right if you do.

You're just a troll until then.

While I understand your point, this all started when Coles left an insulting comment on one of my SharePosts. It could not be let stand. I could have deleted it, but decided to let our members here know about it and allow them to rebut his comment.

About this folder in general --- we also come across blog posts and so-called articles that are published online and full of misinformation. When there is a place to comment, we will often do that so that, hopefully, others who read these posts and articles will also read our comments and not put any faith in what the writer said.

We all have our ways.

I don't think he reads the forum. Now that the line has been drawn, and he has accepted my challenge, I will delete any comments he makes to SharePosts until such time as he meets my challenge.

I do understand what you are saying, and the misinformation from this goof reminds me of the days when (having to go into the er in the early 90) (some) doctors were clueless about migraines or even thought they did not exist, yes I had one doc telling me that... I was vomiting on his shoes when he was speaking... at least the vomit got on him
I AM SURE YOU AS WELL HAVE HAD SOME OF THE SAME EXPERIENCES!!! I KNOW HOW ANGRY IT MAKE ME!!!

What I was saying, and I dont think I said it very well!!! Sorry! He is a waste of space and I DON'T BELIEVE FOR ONE MINUTE THAT FOOL EVER HAD A MIGRAINE/HEADACHE, OR AS HE SAID THAT HIS MIND IS CHANGING ON THE TOPIC (i don't believe that either).

I do however believe in getting the word out about BAD WEBSITE AND INFORMATION THAT IS NOT CORRECT! I absolutly think that should be brought to light....some people who are new to migraines or are not in the field will take this morons un-educated advice. SHOULD WE OUT HIM....OOOOOO YES! I say EXPOSE EXPOSE EXPOSE!!! I made the same comment to you when someone was stealing your articles!

My point was don't take this to heart, he knows nothing what he speaks of and for some reason loves to bother people on all web sites!

You know that you are the **EXPERT** not him! We all know your knowlegde in this field! (by the way I hope to meet you in Scottsdale! )

I also do believe to put him in his place would be to ignore him, although I can totally understand your point for what he said on your share post....do you know which one? I am going to try to find it....I am sure you have seen his website...**sigh** HE DOES NOT GET IT! NOR CAN HE UNDERSTAND OUR PAIN!!!

This is off-topic, but Liz, can I ask a favor? Please try not to use so many caps as it's hard for some of us with active Migraines to read. And I do want to read your posts! I understand you wanted to emphasize some of what you were saying, but perhaps using bold letters would work?
