Cool! Now I can give my son his own book to keep and he can mark it up however he wants. I'm sure he's tired of looking at my pink highlighting Wink

I just ordered it off of Amazon. With shipping costs, I paid around $9.00 total. I don't know what it sells for in the stores. I'm just glad I finally ordered myself a copy.

I ordered it last week and it should be here tomorrow. *happy gollum dance* I also found a $9 CD player so now I'll be able to play my near-death music when I'm stuck in bed.

Near-death music?...let me tell you about this near-death ambiance music.

Steven Roach had a near-death experience more than 20 years ago after a bicycle accident. When he recovered, he spent months recreating the music he heard during his experience.

The CD is called "Structures from Silence" and I recommend it. It isn't designed for relaxation or meditation prayer or anything but it's great for all of those things. I like to listen to track 2 Quiet Friends when I can't sleep.

Now I can read Teri's book and listen to this great CD at the same time.

Gads...this sounds like a COMMERCIAL!! Skillet

MW is the music available on iTunes? I have music i like to add at the end of my hypnosis sessions since I ususally listen to them when I go to bed. This sounds like something nice to add.

LOL! Back to the book. Some bargain. Being a book addict, I ended up ordering around $100 b/c of a bargain $5 book! But I got some other HA books and some even more interesting books for my boys about the "change of life". They are almost 9 and we're a very open family about all kinds of topics, but they've started discussing sex in the way they learn about it at daycare and school. Lets just say Yikes!I figured it was time to introduce it a little more gently in a better more realistic way. Well, most of these books can wait a few years (they're more about puberty) but 1 is great for now and 1 is a long paperback that I read most of the night I got it and is great for all sorts of questions kids ask. So I guess my money was well spent when shopping for books sight unseen!

But I also bought a Yoga book for headache relief (though I wouldn't have purchased it at the store at all- way too wordy and the exercises are very traditional yoga, not very gentle), The Headache Cure (ordered it for it's info on cervicogenic HA and wrote about it on that link the other day), All in My Head (our library system doesn't have it, so I figured I'd read it and donate it when I'm done), and Living Well with Migraine Disease (can't remember why, lots of people liked it and it was cheap?? haven't had a chance to look at it yet)

As a matter of fact it is. That's kind of a surprise.

Get Teri's book though if you haven't already. Get enough to qualify for free shipping and you can get the CD from Amazon too. It's not but $30 I think to get free shipping from Amazon.

That price is significantly less that *I* can by it for, even if I order it wholesale through HarperCollins. I bought some extra copies myself. LOL!

Diane, just as another option, most libraries will allow you to request books through ILL (interlibrary loan) for titles they don't have. I've borrowed a lot of headache books that way. Much cheaper, and then I only buy the books I want copies of for myself.

Back more on topic, DBF is finally reading Teri's book. Yay! Thumbs Up

Hi Louisa!

Welcome to MyMigraineConnection and to our forum family. Sorry you have the need to be here, but glad that you've joined us!

I decided that I had several people in my life who could use a read-through of Teri's book, so... there I went to amazon with the credit card!

Welcome again! If there's anything we can do to make your experience here better, just holler!
