I guess this is where i'm supposed to say hi to everyone. So HI Everyone. Anyway i'm new to this forum obviously and not really sure what i'm supposed to put in here.

I've been having migraines since jan2005 right after my second open heart surgery. I am in my late 20s. My migraines have been getting worse in the last year. Before i never threw up with them but now i'm throwing up, getting dizzy, tired, i hate light and high pitched sounds. And also they are lasting more than 3 days at a time.

Welcome, Jemima. One of the nice things about our forum is that there are no "supposed to" things to post. Make your posts as short or long as you want, just so you say what you want to say.

If your migraines are lasting more than three days at a time, please read this article:

Status Migrainous

This is serious business!

We are so glad to have you on the forum. If you have questions, ask away.

wow i really didn't expect someone to answer so fast. Usually I have to wait a day or two to hear from anyone. So thanks for the welcome nutcracker1. I read that article and wow i didn't honestly realize how dangerous migraines can be if they last.

Welcome Jemimakitten,

If you are getting more than 3-4 Migraines a month, it may be time to see a Migraine specialist. This docotor is a expert in Migraine disease and headache disorders. Click HERE.

Any Migraine pain lasting longer than 72 hours without a four hour pain-free break while awake needs medical attention. This could be a condition called Status Migrainous and can put us at an increased risk of stroke.

Please let us know how we can help you further, ok?
