I just need to vent a bit. It helps to get it all out. I am on my 11th day straight of a migraine. YES I have been trying to get help, but nothing is breaking it that I can take.

Which brings up one frustration, I am getting fed up with my dumb neuro yet again. She and her nurse are rude and abrupt, and feel "bothered" that I question the meds she wants to try, or ask questions about symptoms I have concerns with etc. I just switched primary dr to a wonderful lady who my husband sees, and who I have seen in urgent care a few times during my Migraines. I am going to see if she can get me referred elsewhere

I was at urgent care yet again last night(3rd time this week) So far this week has been 6 shots in the rump and 2 IV's Im DONE! I want this migraine gone. Nothing is getting done around the house, my poor DH is working 2 jobs then also trying to care for house, kids and me. I missed my sons FB game, in which he played QB (and scored a TD)

On top of all that, last Friday(bout a week into the migraine) My Matthew was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome and Depression. So I am trying to get all the info on that on a mushy brain, and trying to gather info before the 504 plan meeting on Monday.

Add to all that, My in-laws are trying to do a web based business and are clueless as to setting it all up, and I have been doing the website etc. for them.

I am just feeling overwhelmed, too much to do, not feeling well enough to do it, and just NOTHING is getting done. I HATE migraines! I HATE feeling so helpless!

Ok im off my Soap Box Thanks for letting me vent. I feel better just yelling a bit Embarrassed

Oh Tawsha,

Your post made my heart hurt. I wish I could give you such a great big hug. I'd tell you to take care of you first, then your kids and hubby next. The rest can wait. A messy house doesn't hurt anyone and simple meals are the best.

I'm sorry you missed your son's football game. Maybe you can ask around when you're feeling better and see if someone videotaped it. Then make popcorn and watch it with your family and make a fun night of it.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with your son's diagnosis of Aspergers Syndrome. I will keep you in my prayers that you have good medical care to address this condition as well as his depression. I have a Matthew, too, so I'll pray for both of them.

The key to all of this is finding the right doctor for you. Hopefully that will work out soon. Keep us posted on how things are going, okay?

Hugs,
Karen

Take care of yourself. My gut level reaction is that if your in-laws can't set up a web-based busines, they have no business having one. I know limits can be hard to set in families, though. Where does your husband stand on this one?

Tawsha, wasn't there some kind of opportunity coming up to change insurance? Then that might lead to more options as far as doctors go?

Hi Tawsha, is this a HM or just a regular migraine? Either way it sounds like a horrible situation. Heart Heart

I understand how frustrating everything is.

As for Matthew if you need someone to vent to about that whole process. I've been through that too.

Hope that you know that your not alone with all these issues because your forum friends are there for you.

I don't have any advice to offer you, but I think you need some cyber hugs.

I can kind of understand the 11 day migraine. I won't get one that lasts 11 days, but sometimes I'll go 15 days in a row with separate migrianes. It is emotionally and physically exhausting.

I hope today you are feeling a better physically and emotionally.

Fingers Crossed Hope your migraine breaks soon.

Tashwa I read your post yesterday and I just want to wrap you up in hugs and make everything alright for you.

You cop with so much so wonderfully. There are few people who could manage the home you do having the health problems you have.

When you this migraine breaks it does sound like you need to look for a new doctor. But take it one step at a time right now. It's funny, my sister's GP has given her great migraine care. I think as a doc in a small town he has to be well schooled in those problems he sees alot of. He sees alot of migraine patients. But not all doctor's are like that. You need someone excellent for YOU.

Keep venting. That's just one of the services we offer!!!

Group HugAwww TY all so much for all the support and hugs Group Hug

Nutcracker, I agree with the home based thing. It is a drop ship type business, which when up and running, they can handle. The problem is they signed up with a company, spent thousands on it and found out they were way over their heads. Its actually a GREAT company that has technical support, and advice, training and all to set up a terrific business, they just didnt get us involved untill they were way too confused and frustrated. I have set that on the back burner until I get feeling better though, and they are very understanding.

They did alot of the work and research into their "nitch" and are working on puting the descriptions and photos in now that I taught them how. My DH was frustrated that Dad yet again jumped into a thing without discussing it with family first. Dad has Parkinsons, and tends to do things sometimes that we all have to take care of. Either way, we need to get them some more income coming in or move them in with us.(or both with how bad Dad is getting physically)

The insurance thing is coming up soon I think. Cemex bought out Rinker(who my DH works for) and so we are unsure what may happen with that. The other ins. option though was more out of pocket per visit we believe.

Im feeling more in a fog and less pain, though its still at about a 5-6.(down from 8-9) The predlesone is making me feel so out of it. But at least I can function a bit with lower pain. Last night though it went to my Right side which was wierd. I rarely have it on my right side.

Mary, I have acutally been having a combo of migraine if that makes sense. It has been the regular with aura, but twice came on the HM during it. Like I had the migraine, then did the HM left side weak/paralys, face droop, unable to talk etc. then the pain worsened. I also had a "partial seizure"(as my neuro calls them) twice.

Anyway, thanks agan yall! Heart
I appreciate everyone so much it so helps having frines like you

Tawsha I saw your post last night and was just too tired to offer much - but I want to send you my love - it is so overwhelming to deal with all of that with the constant pain.

You need to get down to real basics - the others have said it - everything that can wait should wait - you aren't available to help your in-laws right now! Maybe next week/month, or maybe they can find someone else to help! All that needs to be done around the house is some food and clean clothes once in awhile - everything else can wait until you feel better. Take care of yourself sweetheart!

I'm so sorry that you're having such a tough time right now, Tawsha! Sending you lots of Group Hug Group Hug Group Hug.

The other ladies are right...You've gotta do ONLY the most necessary things right now! The most important part is for you to get the rest and medical intervention you need to help this migraine pass. 11 days is WAY too long!!!

I can't even imagine what it was like for you to learn of Matthew's AS diagnosis. But he is one lucky guy--he's got a Mom who loves him lots, and who will read and learn everything she can to help him. I know you have a complicated road ahead of you, but you can do it.

And we're always here to help and cheer you on...

Tawasha, I understand the combo migraine only too well. It sounds like me for the last 2 months. I won't hijack your thread but I know exactly what your talking about because its been my life for the last year.

So how do you feel about Matthew's dx? It's okay if you actually are excited/releived about the dx at this point. I know so many people who find a relief on finding out that there is a name and resources for dealing with their difficult child that they have struggled with for years. But its also okay to be totally overwhelmed by the implications of what having an autistic child means.

If you don't have a therapist I'd find one, because the ability to talk to someone about this and how it affects the family is something that is going to be a ongoing major stress in your life.

Hope you will check in with us your friends and let us share in the adventure.

Hi yall ty again! Yall are so wonderful! Things felt a little better today, still pain and aura, but much lower and tollerable!

Megs, I have let both the whole website thing go and my housework go for the last 2 weeks. It just bothers me that I know I need to be doing all these things, and cant. On top of that I feel a HUGE guilt for all the extra my DH has had to do when he is working 2 jobs, night and day. Poor guy is just exhausted.

As far as Matthews Dxd, he is still my same Matthew regardless of what name we call his issues!the issues are the same now as they were before. It was actually a big relief(and a bit expected honestly)to get the Dxd, as now we can move forward on how to help him better! Plus now he qualifies for help at school which he needs. It was just awful timing with my migraine, as now I need to do a bunch of research and planning before his 504 plan meeting on Monday. My mushy jello brain and eyes were resisting much reading or internet. But I did get quite a bit done with research today I think.

Mary, mine too for the last about 2 years off and on. I get some good spells where its only like 2 or 3 migraines a week that are more mild, then go through 2 week to over-a-month nonstop migraine spells. I hear ya hun hang in there! Heart The biggest frustration is that cant take any normal abort meds that most would get in the ER or Urgent care. What they can give often wont stop them.

Thanks again yall
