Quote: ChronicHA,

You've been responding to my Topamax questions on another thread. I just finally read thru' a bunch of stuff here. LORDY!!! What an experience you had! I'm glad that is behind you. Your doc sounds like a COMPLETE NINCOMPOOP IGNORAMOUS.

Hi Counting.sheep,

That part may be behind me, but it is my duty to warn the public and try to effect a change if possible, After all, making change is in my blood. My favorite 2nd cousin was the only man to sign the Articles of Confedteration, Dec of Ind., and the Constitution.

I find it quite concerning that so many Drs will deny the publish data on the drugs; i.e., potentially toxic chemicals they are prescribing. Unfortunately, the authority having jurisdiction is made of guess who: Drs. I made inquiry of the state medical board at the state department of health to see if Complete Nincompoop Ignoramaous had any previous citations, complaints, restrictions or hearings against him or his license. That was about 6 months ago. As of today, they have not responded. Their web site says this is public information; however, there is no mention of how to access it. The public is always advised to check out Drs, insurance people, investment brokers, contractors…….. When you go to check them out, there is a definite lack of any info that really means anything.

I guess consumer beware is the only policy that really means much :-(

Take care, Bob

Wow! Cool family lineage! Let's see.. I had a cousin who went to jail. Oh, wait! My father was a rocket scientist (seriously!). He helped put the first monkey into space, and was inventor of the first space toilet! My mom has all of these NASA awards hanging around the house! BUT, that doesn't help me deal with the COMPLETE NINCOMPOOP IGNORAMOUSES.

I admire your tenacity dealing with this. After a difficult doctor visit, I usually get depressed and cry for a few days. Then I build up my energy to try again. Not the best way to handle it, as they are probably treating the next patient the same way...

I've had my share of those ignoramouses (I hope I'm spelling that right!!). I recently had a trip to the Mayo Clinic. They kept me there almost THREE weeks. There were some WONDERFUL doctors there, but also some of the nincompoops. I'm contesting a HUGE bill with them right now, as they didn't do some very expensive testing the correct way on me. Why should my insurance company or I pay for a test that was conducted badly?

While I'm horribly angry, I just don't feel well enough to fight like you. My husband is doing a lot of the fighting for me. I'm already fighting my LTD and social security disability cases. Fighting my doctors would just be MORE stress. Enough stress already.

(((Counting.sheep))) sorry you are having such bad times.

We didn't have much choice but to resolve all the issues. My wife has always been homemaker except for part-time job she has done since the kids left. She has health ins attached to it which helps a lot, but she doesn't make the kind of money it takes to support us. Most goes to finish the health ins. I had to get well and back to work or go homeless, simple as that. It would have taken awhile for that to happen, but it is reality. I'm very fortunate and blessed to have a wife and kids to tell the drs to go... and the ability and help comming back from it all. It has been long tough 3 years! But, We're far better off than many of the people posting. We are very thankful. I've been thinking a lot about the (((poor lady in Philly.)))

I really do think my public awareness concerns are in my blood. I was a volunteeer fireman. My wife researches genealogy, Roger Sherman of Ct is my 2nd cousin. We share a common cousin, Aaron Burr :-))

Take care, Bob
