Just left the old place and have found this new one. Smiler I was dx-ed with Migraines in October 2005; though I've had them for years. I always thought it was one sinus problem after another until a neurologist convinced me it wasn't. (I had had surgery and got a super nasty PDPH--postdural puncture headache from the epidural which is why I had a neuro in the first place.) Until then, I truly thought it was somewhat normal to be woken up out of sleep every other day with a killer 'headache'--what did I know? Topamax was and is a lifesaver. I am now down to about 8-10 days of pain a month and those are much reduced in intensity from what they were. I can't take the triptans but have been helped by amidrine and tramadol when one of the big M's is upon me.

Hope I can help out a little here and also gain a little insight when I need some help of my own, too.

Hugs to All,
Orah_Deb

Deb!! Smiler

It's great to see you here. You bring up a good point. I'm so glad more doctors are starting to realize that many so-called sinus headaches are actually Migraines.

Welcome!

Teri, it's hard to think of you as a 'granny'--hee, hee, hee. You are WAY too young, girl!

Droolie, we have GOT to get your dragon back some way; somehow. I already miss those little blinking eyes. :sniff:

{{{Hugs}}} to you, both.....

LOL! Thanks, Deb. It took a while to get used to being called "Granny," but it really is fun. Got to be the "cool Granny" at Christmas this year when we gave our oldest granddaughter a new iPod Shuffle. Cool

Yes! I'm thrilled, can you tell? Hee, hee. My youngest is only 10 but he'll be an uncle this year. Wow. Big Grin There will be less years between him and his niece or nephew than between him and his brother, the Dad-to-be. My son and his wife hope to find out what the baby will be later this month. Our family is growing. I do feel blessed. Heart Flower
