What do you appreciate the most when you have a migraine? For me the list is relatively long because I try to remain as positive as I can instead of focusing on the pain.

• Kisses and hugs from my DH and kids
• Water and food from the family without asking
• Kisses (better known as licks) from my doggies who lay by the bed
• Surprise emails from DH telling me he hopes I feel better
• On the same note: an email greeting card
• Court TV – I’m a junkie for People’s Court
• Being able to relax
• Being able to sleep through the pain
• When my abortive works on the first try
• Getting on the forum and seeing all my buds; especially the success stories
• A good comedy movie
• Being able to look out the window and see nature at its best (sun or rain)
• Meditating about the beach
• Having the energy to take a HOT shower
• When it’s over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, what do you guys appreciate?

Ooo Laura what a great idea!

I appreciate:
Danny brings me tea and hugs
Adam gives me kisses to make me feel better
Rachel comes in to tell me things that are funny or interesting
Midnite curls up by me and purrs
As long as I'm not nauseous, Danny gets me my "medicinal" dark chocolate
Law & Order reruns
Chatting with my buddies on the forum
My soft comfy pillows and comforter
The warm colors of my walls and curtains
When the Imitrex works right away
Comedy DVDs
Jane Austen Movies - I watch them over and over!
Ice-packs
Falling asleep when the pain is bad
Definitely when it's over

Big Grin

If I'm at work:

Being able to close the door to my office
Having the abortive work on the first try
Having a coworker who will get me a can of coke from the vending machine downstairs- no questions asked.

If I'm at home
When the cats curl up with me
Forum posting or reading
listening to podcasts while I close my eyes.
DH coming home
DH sitting with me and doing all he can to make me feel better
DH knowing when I need to be alone
Cheesy TV court shows- all afternoon.
Ice packs

MJ - Love your pumpkin pie living room! Ours is a kind of mango color. My bedroom is a sort of rusty-adobe orange with blue and yellow trim - very southwestern and very soothing somehow!
