I spend a lot of time lately having my life all messed up from side effects of starting new drugs.

Today I get to have side effects from getting off of the drugs. Head Banging

I am glad at least this is not as bad as when I stopped the amitriptyline. That time I had seperation anxiety for a whole week and would freak out if anyone left my current location. While that might be normal for a 2 year old, as a 24 year old it was hard to explain!

Today I am feeling anxious and sad. The stack of work on my desk makes me feel a little panicy. And I feel like lunch will never get here so I can meet DH because I am feeling lonely. We'll see if I have seperation anxiety over him when lunch if over.

I have yet to talk myself into doing any real work on my own, but I haven't decided if it's because my concentration is shot of if the amount of it has me too out of sorts to decide where to begin. All I really want to do is go over to DH's shop and hang out on the couch for the afternoon.

I have just noticed that my foot is tapping really fast on the floor. Silly anxiety. I feel like I am worrying over something dreadful but I cannot think of what it could be in my life that makes it make sense.

Anyway, I could use a hug. I know it will all be over soon and my craziness is just medically induced and I will get through it. But right now that doesn't change the fact that I feel not at all like myself.

Get a good long hug from DH at lunch.

Laurelin, take a few deep breathes in through your nose and out through your mouth. (If you have ever done Lamaze class, the way they tell you to breathe while your in labor.) Anxiety is terrible but you will get through it. Group Hug Group Hug

Sending hugs Laurelin. Medication induced craziness is the worst. I went through that being uber depressed on Neurontin.

Take a deep breath, take everything slowly, and do the best you can.

Hey there,

Hang in there. When you get home, take some walks if you can, or just walk or jog around your home. I did that when I was withdrawing from methadone for my chronic head pain years ago. I know it is not fun, but you will get through this.

Warm showers really helped relax me too. But keeping busy seemed to be best.

Good luck, and keep us posted, ok?

Laurelin,

I hear you, loud and clear!

Let's get each other through a tough day. Group Hug Group Hug

You have med withdrawals & I have "only one house" withdrawals. We finally sold our other house & got completely moved out of it last w/end.

So, tell me how the rest of your day went. How was lunch with DH? Any great plans for the weekend?

I'd planned to take the weekend off, but think I'll clean house instead.

Stay busy. Remember that we are all here for you. A lot of us have gone through med withdrawals. We'll help.

Hang in there.

Getting off meds can be just as icky as navigating them for the first time. I feel for you, dearie! I hope things even back out very soon and you're feeling much better in a jiffy. Smiler

Laurelin - Group Hug Group Hug Group Hug to you! Ick ick ick! I'm so sorry you have to go through this. Just take it five minutes at a time if you have to, and yes, deep breathing and walks and baths and showers are good. And hugs, both real and virtual. Keep us posted.

Hi, everyone. I am feeling much more like myself today. No crazy weird feelings so I guess I am through the worst.

Thanks everyone for thinking of me. It really helped me get through the day.

Glad you're feeling better. I know how awful med withdrawals can be... and it sounds like you've made your way through some nasty times! How nice it must be to have that sigh of relief that you're done with the nasties!

Congrats, and here's to feeling better! Flower
