Hi. I've got a really bad one, and am kinda freaked out. My right leg is almost completely useless, as well as my arm. (before you all tell me to get myself to the er, the arm is a usual symptom, but the leg is new. it happened with the last one, and i went to the er and was monitored, and all was ok.)

The problem is that i can't function. at all. can kinda shuffle with something to lean on, but can't really walk or do anything. i thought i was going to need one of my friends help me up off the toilet. i couldn't stand up and get my pants up at the same time. thank god i have good friends who can deal with me like this, but i feel like a burden.

What do i do if this is the new pattern of my migraines? i can work around the arm and the aphasia, but the leg makes me completely useless. i'm scared about what my head is doing. i'm scared that it won't end. i'm scared that this is how it's going to be from now on.

sorry for the typing, was done with left hand only...

OH hun I know EXACTLY how you feel! are you DXD hemiplegic migraines?
When I get mine My entire left side goes out, and right side gets weak lol. sometimes i cant talk at all either. I have been in a hemi migraine for 2 weeks now, The paralysis is coming and going from weaknes to full on paralysis, It will get better! Yes you have to have someone there to help you and Im so glad you do! This particular bout, i have lost consiousnes, and had seizures this is all new to me too. I know how scary it is!
Only you can judge best if you need to go to the ER today. What I DO encourage you to do first thing Monday is call your neuro and tell him/her that your migraines are changing! THink about whether you are getting more of them too or just worse severity. Hang in there hun! And watch to see how long it goes. If your pushing the 72 hour mark with the pain(not neccesarly the weakness..for me that has lasted up to a month after migraine stopped...) do get your lil hiney to the ER.
Best luck to ya and we can sit here and migraine together ok hun! Group Hug

Sarah, I'm just catching up on the recent posts here, so I'm a little late to yours.

How are you feeling? Please give us an update when you're feeling up to it, ok? Group Hug
