Hi, gang!

I came across an article posted to a blog that I thought some of you would like to read and comment on:

A Look At Migraine Headache Treatment
By noreply@blogger.com (HealthByMel.com)
Feeling drained of strength in life is quite normal for a migraine sufferer. Even now the number one factor for the cause of migraine is considered to be stress in certain sectors. Despite this opinion by many, the true cause of ...

UGH! Thanks, MJ. I just posted a comment there too.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. I'm thinking maybe we need a new folder. Something along the lines of "People Who Need To Be Set Straight" where we can all post things such as this when we come across them. What do you think?

BTW, is your link about capitalizing Migraine supposed to go to your invisible illness awareness week post?

Thanks again!

Teri, I think that a new folder might be just the thing. Smiler And yes, my link is supposed to go to the II week post; it's the first time I've actually written out the reason I capitalize Migraine - and other diseases, too. I have your MMC post linked from there.

Well now, there is a lot of true information sbout the pain we feel in the article. And one part is especially true- I often have "faulty energy production" when my brain cells are hurting! SmilerSmiler

Interesting that in the about the author section, it refers to "what does it take to be a contractor". hmmm, so this person is in the building profession, not really health related?

Diane, back after my long summer oh, lying (laying) (lieing about laying) on the beach in a nice cabana with a pool boy to attend to my every need while my most well behaved children gathered shells to make clever crafts blah, blah, blah

So do I, have impossibly bad energy production, full body, all the time. Not all Migraine attacks have pain.

Most likely a reference to being an 'independent contractor' in the income tax sense.

That'll be me in a couple of months. But I'll tell the truth about lying on the beach in the Caribbean. Big Grin I'll take a pool man to attend to my needs, thanks ever so much.

Dadgum migraine. Can't get my head out of the pool. Hair Raising

Ugh. I am so tired of these people.

And a citrine wand! Can you really get those, MW? I LOVE a nice citrine. It's my birthstone!

I have a polished citrine pillar with a transmitter face. I figure that's close enough! Big Grin

Websites and blogs like this one and the one Max found are disappointing at best. They just proliferate the notion that Migraines are "just headaches" and not a neurological disease.

A little off topic--okay well off topic...is it possible to change the background colors of this website and the forum? White is not a good color--my eyes think it is sunshine. Frowner

It's not possible to change the forum colors on the forum itself, as far as we know of.

That said, you might be able to invert colors on your computer in general when you're on the forum, and swap to a black background with white lettering if that helps. I have such a function in the accessories folder on my program menu, under the magnifier option in the "ease of access" folder. You might try looking for something like that.

I'm editing this because I've got another stray idea. At school we've used some colored plastic overlay sheets with texts and worksheets for kids with visual problems. They're very good at cutting the white glare out and crisping up the text. I'm wondering if a person was to tape one of these overlay sheets over their monitor, if that might help. I think you can get them at Kinko's. We used colored report covers once for the same thing, which you can probably get at an office supply store. The only trick is that you'd have to find the best color for you. Most of the kids I've worked with do best with yellow, pink, or blue.
