This is my latest thing to wonder about. When I saw my PCP two weeks ago he said he didn't think I was fully recovered from the CF yet, since I am exhausted in the evenings at least half the time, and often very tired in the afternoon.

I went off the Cortisol supplement early in the fall and my evening migraines seem to have increased since then. I say "seem to" because until recently I wasn't recording the migraine if it lasted only a couple of hours and if the severity was low. Now I'm recording everything! I also see checking my medical history that my migraines got more severe and frequent about the same time I was diagnosed with the chronic fatigue.

Yesterday I did an Adrenal Function Test - and was allowed no caffeine at all for the day of the test - I was utterly exhausted all day. So I'm guessing the test will show my adrenals still not doing their job. And today I have mild to moderate head pain - not sure yet if it's a migraine. So I'm curious whether low adrenal function triggers migraines, or the exhaustion triggers migraines, or just caffeine withdrawal triggering migraines - or some other kind of connection.

Hi Megs,

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (aka myalgic encephalopathy)and Migraine disease are co-morbid conditions. They often occur together but neither causes the other.

We have another site here on HealthCentral, The Chronic Pain site that information on CFS, and fibromyalgia.

Thanks Nancy -

I'll be interested to read that! With all the co-morbid conditions (for me including CF, IBS, hypo-thyroid) sometimes it seems like we don't just get the whole enchilada, we get the combo platter!
