Migraine

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum but I am not new to some of you here. My name is Leslie and I am a lifelong migraineur.

I am disabled by my chronic migraine condition and awaiting word on whether or not the SSDI judge agrees with me and my doctor. In any case, I don't work outside the home (and do little inside it, too).

Teri has been such a wonderful allie in the migraine battle for so many people. I wish I had the stamina to keep up with her!

Let's see...I'm 46, the mother of two grown sons and 3 grown step-daughters and 6 step-grandchildren. My migraine disease started very early in my life (about age 4) and was misdiagnosed as sinus headache until I was about 30.

The disease became chronic when I was about 40 or so. My husband and I live in Florida (I am from NY, though). I am a Disney World nut but I can no longer go. We had annual passes to the parks but about 3 years ago, I found I couldn't handle a day away from home like that. I needed to have a place to rest available to me every day due to the migraine monster.

So, the Internet has become my outlet. I participate at another forum for migraineurs. I have found those of us with this disorder are especially sympathetic and kind. I know a few of you here and that holds true here, also.

I'll try to pop in occasionally. I wish you all as much pain free time as is possible. It is very nice meeting you all.
