Migraine

I just found this forum this evening. I have suffered from migraines since I was a teen. I currently have problems at work dealing with co-workers and perfume. I am hoping to get info on these forums to help me cope better with migraines.

I completely understand the perfume thing. I am a middle school teacher, and middle schoolers are just at that age where they discover all the really strong perfumes and colognes, and they think more is better. They also like to try and douse each other in the hallways and spray their lockers with it. It's nasty, and I ended up going to our principal and getting spraying of anything in the hallways banned. Every so often we have to do another round of announcements when it starts up again, but it usually helps for awhile.

i'm glad you're here! welcome! this is a great site. there is SO much information, and many great people who can empathize with your situation. perfume is (usually) not a trigger for me. but if it was, i would probably try talking to my supervisor about it. if it's your co-workers that are the 'problem', it seems like a possibility that your supervisor would want to help you have a better working environment -- so you'd be more productive at work! just a thought - maybe you've already talked to your boss. hopefully some others here will have some great ideas for you.
