I have not been here for several months.

I get very tired after working all day. It is a rare week when I work all 40 hours. If I do, I'm exhausted. If I make it through tomorrow, this will be one of those weeks.

Otherwise, I'm home at least one day with a migraine and feeling crummy. Thank goodness for FMLA.

It seemed like all I would be doing here is venting. Then I realized I need to keep up with new information. And I never know when I might be able to answer a question from my years of experience.

Hey Jan -

Glad you're around, sometimes venting makes a difference for everyone, the readers as well as the writer, so don't hesitate!

Welcome back Jan, glad to see you around again!! Flower

You couldn't be more right, we all have something to contribute from our experiences over the years.

Not to mention, venting is part of the process and so are our successes; like being able to work a full 40 hour week!

We added a new folder recently called the Tea Room. It is a great place to just check in and share how you are doing and see how everyone else is doing too. You should check it out.

Welcome Back Thumbs Up

Welcome back, Jan. I hear you on the 40-hour week. It's very difficult for me to get through it. Normally I end up working 6- or 7-hour days, which is still very hard.

I'm glad to see you here, though. This forum is all that keeps me going some days.

Actually, I really hear you! This week, I will start working 4 weekdays and every other Sat (Sadly, more like 9-10 hour days) in a "hard" work environment. I was working 2-3 days a week, so I had rest days and even when I worked 3-4 days it was 2 different PT jobs. I love the people at the job, but as I just told my mother, it's not a place I'd want to work FT. I'm just helping out while they find another FT person. Our other person left after 5 months. And she seemed to call in a lot! Sigh....

So far I've managed to work thru all my headache days but one, though I've spent a few mornings in the bathroom in tears and several in a VERY grumpy and quiet mood. (Not the usual perky and prankster me!) That prompted my last visit to the doctor.

But we both have this board to help us with new ideas and new advice. I've been keeping a diary for a good 6 + months. Never found a trigger before my last visit. I also get the newsletter from the National Headache Foundation. That has lots of good info. And I also sleep alot! The big joke at work - I'm hyper there and sleeping at home. Not 100% true - I'm on the computer alot too!

So even if you never post, come to get encouragement and look for advice. I vent in my diary (I have one off the NHF site and I keep a more detailed one in a notebook) and I have a journal I write in too to vent. Sometimes I just write a few words in my journal, sometimes I go weeks with nothing. BUT, it keeps me from screaming at the husband and kids and kicking the dog. Just kidding - the dog loves me dearly and I only trip over him in the middle of the night sometimes or in the kitchen. He's my 75lb loveable baby.

Best of luck!
Diane
