Yeah, you're right, you can't. Frowner Why we gotta be so sensitive to stuff all the time? Why our heads gotta be so crazy? I guess if they weren't we wouldn't be talking about it...

And fadeouts are a good idea, I think that is more of what I would get at. Though I was thinking more of words moving across a frame and then fading to the next. But simply fading sounds good too, Deb!

We'll see what we can come up with. I've had animations of various types on my sites, and EVERY one of them as started complaints, even slow fades and crossfades. Ugh. Another issue these days is that the format of animated images is changing and hasn't really resolved to one that's usable by everyone. Flash animations are really popular, but you have to have the Flash plug-in installed on your browser, and some people don't want to do that.

I'll try to do some research on graphic formats, and we'll put together something based on what it looks like would be beneficial to the most people. I'll look at a couple of different shapes. The banners you mentioned are great, but we can't forget the growing ranks of bloggers. I think a square or tower works better than a horizontal banner on most blogs.

In the meantime, here are a couple that might interest you...

Thanks, Teri, I am using them on my myspace page. I'm trying to figure out where to put them on my xanga, but that doesn't get much traffic since it's private.

The other very few boards I visit also don't allow picture sigs or anything like that.

I wonder if I can make some migraine icons to use on forums, since most of them allow avatars. Something like the one you have about "a disease and not a headache"?

I'll have to look around, though I DO have an icon which is so crazy it looks like what the squigglies look like when you have an aura. I nabbed it so I could show my husband what visual aura is sometimes like. Though I am that no one here wants to see it! Could cause some problems.

Annnnnddd....end ramble!
