Migraine

I'm plowing through 3 days of posts, and I haven't read the blog, and I don't think I will. We were out of town, and my head behaved the entire time! Huzzah!

No reason to upset myself after such a good weekend.

OK--I posted on the blog. Can't say it'll do much, but I did it to make myself feel better. That Scalpel , he's a real piece of work, isn't he??? I get the feeling that guys just posting to try to get a rise out of us...

I'd like to excise the obnoxious "Scalpel". Not exactly a credit to the medical community, that chap. The candy comments are so incredibly ludicrous and out of line. Such arrogance! He and his god complex need to be knocked down a few pegs.

OK guys--just my opinion, but I'm fairly certain that the guy, scalpel, is just yanking our chain...I'd advise not posting and additional responses there. I think he may just be an ignorant guy trying to get us to react.

Just my feelings, but you all can do what you want!

I agree he's got some definite troll behaviors showing. I've got no intention of posting anything to that blog, and especially not to him, either. Nope, not gonna poke at the tiger.

Hm. I don't see him as a troll, necessarily. If he is a troll, he's a fairly bad one. I think he's a doctor with a god complex, personally, of course he is right and we are wrong, after all, he's got a PhD or something.

Anyway, I myself am finished with him. Can't waste the effort anymore.

Well, I clicked on his name and it took me to his blogger profile and then there is a link to his own blog. He definitely is quite an a**. He is an ER doctor in Texas, so anyone who lives in Texas or plans to visit TX, beware! I read a little bit of his blog and he makes such obnoxious comments about his patients. He's married with a child too. (Shudder to think about that...) It's sad that people like him become doctors, no compassion for people. . .

Thank you for sharing this. I did not reply - I am way too emotional for that right now. That "Scalpel" really got me upset. I did read ERnursey's new post, and it is a lot better. If you have not read it yet, You should. I did reply to it.

I'm so proud of all of you! After reading ERNursey's second blog entry, I really don't have a problem with her.

To me, she pretty much summarized the behaviors of others that cause us trouble. She seems to get it that it's not our fault that Migraine is one of the two most abused complaints in the ER. People who ARE there for drugs, use back pain and Migraine as the two most frequent complaints.

Scalpel, on the other hand, is a total jerk. My guess would be that he realizes that there are real Migraineurs who need help, but he hates the drug seekers so much that he thinks it better to treat nobody who says they have a Migraine just so he never gives meds to people who are faking.

At some point you've got to question whether this guy is really a doctor or just some smart-alec with nothing better to do but sit on his computer day and night. I don't see anything particularly medically interesting about his blog. Mostly just a rant about drug seekers, but anyone could have written that. So I'm on my lunch and I decided to go back through and read the blog again....now I see that James posted his story there....the same story, I believe, that is in Teri's book. I cannot believe what a SOB this guy is. His responce.....I can't even...... I still can't even bring myself to comment there. If this guy really wants to "educate migraineurs" why is he not using his real name? I have a few names for him........
