Fledgling |
I have been working on seeing if we can get some of my coworkers to stop wearing perfumes due to my migraines. I work in a Nursing Home (long term care facility) and there are lots of Nurses, CNAs and other staff who wear very strong perfume. I posted a note asking them to read Teri's letter, put it by the time sheets hoping they will read it. The social services director said they are having a meeting of the department heads and she is going to bring the subject up and give them the info I gave to her. I am hoping this will help. She and my charge nurse said my note was tactful, so I was glad. I am not always as tactful as I should be

Good luck to you.
I do know that quite a few medical facilities, be they hospitals or nursing homes, have rules in place governing perfumes and colognes, and quite a few of them specify that staff in contact with patients cannot wear perfumes at all, in respect to patient sensitivities. I think it's a good rule. Dragondrool Forum Moderator ~~8=:>>>> |
