Migraine

Does anyone know how I can find out about a doctor? I have emailed Teri without response and posted a question about if anyone knows about Dr. Dodick at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix. Am I going about this wrong? I see responses to every other post--just not mine.
Daily migraines are isolating and I don't have a lot of options.

It may take a couple of days for someone who has seen this doctor to get to your post and respond. We have lots of helpful forum members who care enough to help others here.

Meanwhile, please don't feel isolated. Even if we don't know the answer to your specific question, we have plenty of support and reliable information available. You are not alone. It's just that no one with info on that specific doctor has happened by your post yet.

I know what you mean about wanting to be out of the fog. Do come and share more about what's going on with you here on the forum - I find that really helps, even if I have to wait to get my specific question answered, it's so much less lonely waiting when I'm in conversation with these good folks!

I'm so sorry about not replying to your email. I get so many every day that I truly can't keep up with them. It's good that you posted here where everyone can see your question and respond. To make it more likely for people who have info for you to notice this thread, I'm going to change the subject line a bit.

Honestly, we've had both good and not-so-good reports about Dr. Dodick. One of the doctors who used to be at the Mayo Scottsdale is not in another practice, and I need to get his info and get him listed on the directory. We've had nothing but good reports about him -- Dr. Eross.

BTW, Dr. Livingstone, who wrote Breaking the headache Cycle and is listed on this site as a recommended expert, is now in Sedona, AZ.

Thank you for all of the replies. I am just going thru such a rough patch and I so need someone to understand. I am either in a migraine or recovering and then it starts over. It's like a roller coaster and I want off!!!!

I understand how isolating it can be sometimes, especially when it feels like it is a never ending cycle. I’ve been there myself and always end up on the forum and check out the Success stories folder; I find it uplifting during the times I need it the most.

I tried requesting an appointment with Dodick and got a denial. Do you have an appointment with him?

Thank you everyone for your welcome posts. I am interested in how you make out with Carol Foster. I read her book and am on the diet. I have only been on the diet for a couple of weeks but I think it is helping.
