I have been trying to find a good doctor and found out that there is a Headache Clinic as part of a University of Arizona Physicians. I have an appointment on the 12th of March--can you imagine getting in just a week after calling for an appointment. (this might be a bad sign)
I've had a migraine since Wednesday and my Neuro won't even return my calls so I am hoping to find someone better.

Sarah,

Have you had a break in your migraine? If your migraine has lasted this long, it is time to head to the ER. A Migraine attack lasting longer than 72 hours is often indicative of "Status Migrainous" a condition requiring immediate medical attention due to an increased risk of stroke.

Please keep us posted k? Group Hug

First things first, lets get that migraine broken.

Do you still have it?

Please go to the ER! If your neuro isn't calling you back, please just go to the ER and have them treat you.

Obviously, we are all with you, if your doctor is not calling you back and you've had a migraine for a week, yeah, sounds like it's time for a new doctor.

Please keep us posted! And please seek medical attention!

Hi Sarah,

Great job on finding a new headache clinic. Please let us know how your appointment goes.

I know Laura and Eileen have already spoken to you about Status Migrainous. If your neuro is unresponsive, how about a little help from your GP or Urgent Care? Not to sound like a broken record, but Migraine pain lasting longer than 72 hours without a four-hour pain-free break while awake could be SM and medical attention.

Let us know how you are feeling, ok?

Thank you for all of your concern. I went to Urgent Care on Sunday and all they do is give me Morphine which doesn't work and my experience at the ER is they will do the same thing but make me wait longer. I haven't found anyone around here believes in SM.
But, my Neuro's secretary left a message after my post that my neuro called in prednisone for me so I will take that and hope it works.
My kidlets are finally in bed so I am going to try to sleep this off if the prednisone does not keep me up all night!
