I sent my complaints regarding my fellow to Jefferson. According to the administrator it was a misunderstanding (by me). Dr. Young will not take us as a patient. He already has too many patients and there policy is that you can't switch doctors. We have to stay with the fellow or go elsewhere. We are leaving.

Where do we go now? Dr. Yonker had mentioned Dr. Jack Gladstein in MD. Anyone ever used him?

We traveled 4 hours each way to Phila. We are that close to Cleveland Clinic, and New England Center for Headache. I'm just not sure which of these to go to.

I would appreciate any input on any of these doctors, clinics or additional doctors in the Northeast.

Thanks
Jean Ann

Forgive the question - but are you looking for a Neurologist or a headache specialist? Depending on where you are in PA - I see a great Neuro in Rockaway NJ - she is awesome! I just wasn't sure what kind of Specialist you are looking for. Sorry if it bears repeating, just trying to help. I know insurance companies just tell you who you can go to, so that's no use as to who's "good".

Good Luck

Jean Ann,

I've had good reports on Gladstein. I've also had super reports on the New England Center. I know the docs there, and they're great.

I am looking for a headache specialist. We tried a couple of neurologists, but they could only do so much.

Teri

Thank you for the input on the doctors. It's hard to decide where to go. It is comforting to hear that you have heard good things.

Thank You

Jean Ann

If you're close to Long Island Dr. Noah Rosen, who used to be at Jefferson, is now in Manhasset at Long Island Jewish Pain and Headache Center. I've heard good things about him.

Hi Ann

Welcome to the forum. Thank you for the information. I think Long Island is about 4 hours away too.

I have finally settled on Dr. Gladstein. He is a pediatric headache specialist in Baltimore. It's about a 4 hour drive. We were able to get in relatively quickly. Our appointment is at the end of September.

Thanks for the input.

To be honest with you, she wasn't as wonderful as I had thought she was, and I no longer see her.

I now see someone in Dover, NJ - Right across from the Hospital, in Doctors Park. He has been amazing. He listened to my concerns and was the first doctor to actually adjust and change my medications - after I'd gone through 5 other doctors!

I see Dr. Greene who is part of Neuro Specialists of Northern NJ (I think that's the name of the group) You may have a wait if you decide to see him - like 2 or 3 months but they are really good about a cancel/call list.
