There's a lot I don't know about Dr. Krusz, but I do know he doesn't normally put people in the hospital. If it happens at all, it would be very rare. He is fully equipped to treat difficult migraine situations in his office, and that's what he likes to do.

OK, that's a good thing... thanks Nutcracker!

I put another call in - still, nothing back from Dr. K. Head Banging

Thanks, though, NC! Smiler

Did you tell them, when you called, that you still had not received a call back?

Also, you asked about insurance. He does not take any insurance. You have to pay everything out of pocket then they file everything for you and try to get as much back for you as possible.

Don't give up hope. I am praying that you will find a way to see him. Of course, I will have more info for you next week.

Elizabeth,

That is QUITE unusual. Please email me your full name and phone number AND the dates you called, and I'll pass on to Dr. K. that you're having problems getting a call back.

Elizabeth,

I'm surprised you didn't hear back from Dr. Krusz's office. I haven't experienced any problems myself. I'm sure you'll hear back from them soon.
Smiler

Melanie is correct, he doesn't take insurance but his office submits everything to the insurance company for you. I went there in January and I'm starting to get reimbursement checks now. Although, my insurance isn't reimbursing me very much, I look at it like an investment in my health and my future.

Please keep us posted, k?

I know - it IS really weird that nobody returned my calls...

Honestly, I'm NOT sure of the dates... Frowner I know the first call was probably close to maybe 2 weeks ago? I'm not sure, but the first call was awhile ago (my memory still isn't the best). The second time was this past week (not sure of the date), and I left another message. Again, no return call back.

The one I'm MOST mad about is my first call... I said I had basilar migraines, and wanted a callback to set up an appointment, and nobody ever called me. Mad

I'll try again on Monday. It's not good - I'm so running out of cell minutes calling all these doctors... I don't have a land line (my fault - I need to get one!), so my cell minutes are going up and up, leaving messages, etc.

I got my EEG done on Tuesday... I have a CD of it, and they're mailing it to Dr. Roy... I even have left HER clinic a few messages - they're pretty slow about returning calls, recently, it seems...

I called her to let her know about my finincial situation - that I really CAN'T see that doc in Houston... (I called his clinic and found out the usual prices). I wanted her to recommend someone else, or just keep her informed of the situation, you know?

Thanks, guys. Yeah, all of this IS very frustrating...

I know it's frustrating but you're doing great! Keep your head up Elizabeth, you're accomplishing quite a bit by making phone calls and following up on them too.

Hooray on getting your EEG completed! Thumbs Up

If you haven't yet, Elizabeth, please follow Teri's instructions, even if you don't know the exact dates of your calls:

Oh, I did, NC... Smiler

She said he may even call me, himself, tomorrow...

The only thing, now, that I'm really concerned about is finances...

Anyone that's been to Dr. K. - does he set up payment plans? Otherwise, I may not be able to see him, since he's not on my insurance, or anything like that...

Thanks! Smiler

If he calls you himself, ask him. It's a legitimate question.

Hi Elizabeth!

Did you hear from Dr. Krusz? I'm not sure if he arranges payment plans, I put mine on a credit card.

Please keep us posted, k?

Nope, Laura, I haven't heard from him, yet...

Yeah, I was just planning on using a credit card, if I do go see him... I'm sure he charges a pretty decent amount - and I couldn't do that w/o a CC. Frowner

I'll keep you posted. Smiler

I know how hard it is for me to use a credit card for large amounts after having some credit difficulties but an appointment with Dr. K seems like it would be worth it.

I will let you know how we are doing with him after tomorrow's appointment.
