I know Dr.Kutz is here but he doesn't take insurance and I am out of work right now. Does anyone have a recommendation of a doctor in this area? Or any experience with Dr. Kutz that you think he could help with my situation, which is that my migraines are immediately triggered by fragrances and smells. If I can stay away from them, I can be migraine free, but that means never going out in public!

I have been on this website and others for days and have gained so much knowledge!! I am going to get Dr. Livingstone's book Breaking the Headache Cycle but in the meantime, I think I need to find a new doctor.

Just because doctors don't take insurance doesn't necessarily mean that visits and care aren't at least partially covered with your insurance. It's worth it to ask your insurer. Essentially, what you'd have to do is pay up front and then submit your own claims yourself. You wouldn't be entitled to any negotiated discounts, but you might recover a certain percent. That's what I did when I saw a naturopath a few years ago that didn't take insurance.

Hi there, Parisbabe,

Droolie makes a good point. I think Dr. Krusz's office would give you the forms to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, if that's something your insurance company would go for.

If you want a good book about Migraine, get Teri's book, "Living Well with Migraine Disease and Headaches." It's better than the Livingstone book, IMO.

Hope you get the help you need, and soon!
