I'm at a loss as to why Relpax didn't work today to stop my migraine from developing into the vomiting stage. My husband had been at work for a half hour and I had to call him home. He took me to urgent care where they no longer have narcotics, so they gave me shots of Toradol, Phenergan and Zofrin. I got a perscription for Vicodin and Zofrin (one for pain, one for nausea), took the Vicodin and slept most of the day, but still have a straggler of a headache, even after all that. The saddest thing is that hubby and I were to travel 3 and a 1/2 hours to visit my parents to celebrate their 40th. My hubby doesn't want to have to find an urgent care on the way up if I have an attack again tomorrow. I am so frustrated right now. Migraine pain and fibro are getting in the way of some of the best times.

The triggers this time could be multiple. I am planning on filing for disability retirement at work, so I'm sure a part is stress. I was excited and nervous about this weekend we planned. The weather has grown colder, and also, my last day for my period was Wed, which means it could be hormones. This might be more of a vent really, but it's what's troubling me and something I know I should give to God and try to relax and wait for an answer.

Susan, I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time. Group Hug for you and hopes that things get better soon.

It's such a pain that these stupid migs have to run our lives. We hate to plan anything, live in fear while we're gone and hang on for dear life that we can get back home before we get hit. I know that feeling because of 2 recent trips and I don't really want to do it again. I know I need to go and do things with my kids, but I hate to plan because you never know what's going to happen. I've gotten to the point I don't go anywhere without my "med bag" or sorts so I have what I need just in case. I'm much more at ease now that I actually have mig meds to put in the bag instead of meds that I was given for other reasons that sort of worked.

Hang in there, things WILL get better. Tons of prayers coming your way also.

Lynn

Hi Susan,

Group Hugs to you. I am saying a prayer for you now. When these Migraines interrupt our lives, it is *so* upsetting. It must be hard to miss celebrating with your parents for their 40th.

I hope that you get some rest today and the medications provide relief. We're here for you.

Hugs to you,
Kelly
