Migraine

I've interviewed to work in another unit in my hospital, and I really, really want this job. I think. I've never worked with any patient population other than maternal child. I love labor & delivery, but I don't love the L&D unit I currently work in, and I really don't love my coworkers. And since I'm sick and have intermittent FMLA (and thus get more sick days than everyone else) my coworkers don't like me. Anyway, I've interviewed to work in the Endoscopy Unit. It's 6:30am-3:00pm, Mon. through Fri., and all holidays off. I'd never get these hours anywhere but a doctor's office. And both of my neuros (sleep and migraine) agree that I must get on dayshift before I can really see any true improvement in all my various brain dysfunctions. I know I'll miss the babies, but it is sort of hard to see women have babies day in and day out while I'm in fertility treatment. Sometimes it seems that life is not just "not fair" but that it is danged unfair. 14 year olds can have babies, but I can't? Crackheads can have babies, but I can't? Okay, enough of that. Anyway, I need prayers that I will get the job, and that I will like it when I get there. I still have my childbirth classes 3 times a month to dabble with the pregnant ones.

NOw I know why I was saying unspecific prayers while painting this past weekend! They were for you! I'll keep telling myself you'll get your job ON ONE CONDITION: that you'll tell yourself I'll get the job in the "Behavior Classroom" we're setting up at my middle school for our most unruly Special Needs kids. Deal?

Maybe we can "storm Heaven" with our talk? Seroiusly, I'm going to picture you working regular hours while you get bigger and bigger with a perfectly healthy baby & fewer & fewer migraines.
