Today I learned that a very dear friend from college passed away yesterday.

She was only 29 years old, and she lived vibrantly with Marfan's Syndrome, as did her father and grandmother before her. She often made life brighter through our four years in college, and she was an inspiration as she got her Master's of Divinity despite almost dying twice from the aneurisms so prevalent with her condition. I love her so dearly, it's hard to imagine that she is not on the other end of the phone or computer, and she is not still helping more youth or children with disabilities.

Her father passed away in 2008, and my dear Brooke joined her Daddy and is with our Father in Heaven now. If you can keep her mother and step-mother, as well as Brooke's many friends and loved ones, in your thoughts and prayers, I would be very appreciative.

Thanks, everyone, for the prayers and support. This week was very difficult, especially since I was 2,000 miles away from my friends and could not attend the funeral. But I truly appreciate your kind words and your prayers. My friends and I are doing better, and we cherish our memories and our hopes that we will meet again.

I wish I knew you all better and had faces to go with your names. I am truly grateful for your support this week, when I needed it most.

My love to all,
~Rachel
