hey guys...
tomorrow morning, I get to find out if my migraine diary is accepted for the PFO study. I also talk to the cardiologist, cause he's concerned about the other heart related symptoms I'm having. If both these parties deem me okay for further action, it will be the LONG AWAITED RANDOMIZATION. Where I will get to know if my heart defect gets fixed soon or wether I have to wait till its approved ( or do i just go for open heart surgery! I just might!) If Im in the surgery group, I will go under within 2 weeks of tomorrow! potential relief is so close... Im almost there! Please pray that my cardiologist doesnt deem me too unstable to be in the surgery group and that my diary has been accepted and that of course I am in the surgery group? love and hugs from a nervous wreck of a migrainous friend bim Migraine is a potentially debilitating genetic neurological disease that affects 36 million Americans. Hey, Bim,
Good luck! Keep things in perspective though. Your whole future really does not ride on tomorrow. Even if you have a PFO that's triggering some of your Migraines, the closure would not be a cure. It might help prevent some of your Migraines, but the results of the trial in the UK showed only a 37% reduction. So, don't put all your eggs in one basket, and don't let yourself put too much importance on this one thing. I know it's big, but keep your perspective.
