Hi guys... strange title I know.
But I've completed 1 out of 3 months of my migraine diary for my PFO study. I need to average "no more than 14" migraine days a month for 3 months. and in my first completed month, I had 16 migraine days. 7 of these days were directly attributed to my TCD test I will have another test done on the 6th of feb, which i am worried will trigger me again.... so really... I need a miracle! Please pray for a few good stretches of pain free days to even out my really bad first month? Other wise I wont get in! Bim Migraine is a potentially debilitating genetic neurological disease that affects 36 million Americans. Migraine is underdiagnosed and undertreated. There is no known cure. The American Headache Society supports research and education. Please help us? Bim, did you mention your TCD triggered migraines to them? I would imagine they would count them due to it being a trigger you wouldn't randomly or frequently encounter...But I don't know.
I wish you luck. I remember being so frustrated when I sent in my last date of migraine data before the committee made their decision. Depending on your data, other specifics might override the # you had. I know I had WAY too many to qualify...But they accepted me anyway. I'd really like to know who those people are, lol! Good luck. Funny you should mention that. They called me yesterday, saying the study coordinator had managed to get them to agree that they should "ignore" the first 8 days *thats how long my tcd triggered migraine lasted* of my diary, because it was them that triggered it! Thats going to make life a lot easier, assuming that i do moderately well on my next few months.
