We all knew it was coming and thanks to all of you that added my family to your prayer list. My Mom called last night about 9 to say she passed away near 7:30. My Dad was still at the funeral home.

They live in N.LA and have been without power for over a day because of the hurricane and Mom said there were trees and power lines down everywhere. Even if I wanted to get there, it's not safe for me to right now.

My brother will be able to make it back from New Orleans for the funeral and has already called and blasted me for not being there. I knew he wouldn't understand.

I thought I was OK and had cried as much as I could, but I just can't seem to stop. I've tried to keep busy at work this week with doc/boss out and especially today, but it's not working very well.

I've got a pounding migraine and as usual, only have 1 Maxalt, so I'm dealing with it. If it gets bad enough, I'll just have to use it. DH has to work late tonight, so I'll have everything to do when I get home. I'm worn out from work. My doc/boss is out this week and I've been doing work in the office. I've re-wallpapered our kids room, defrosted 3 refrig. and will finish painting all of the door jams/frames and front doors this afternoon. The paint isn't helping my migraine, but at least I'm staying busy. I need to clean the waiting room carpet before he gets back, but I don't know if I have it in my to lug my cleaner from home(it's a commercial grade steam cleaner). I just may toss it in when I get done with the painting.

Please keep us all in your prayers. I can't be with my Dad and my brother thinks I'm a pretty terrible person right now(not that it bothers me too much what he thinks), but right now, it hurts.
Lynn

Lynn I am so sorry for you and your family. There are few words right now that will help. I've lost my grandparents and it hurt. They were a big part of my life always.

Cry. Yes, it makes your head hurt, but your grief needs to get out too. Holding that in isn't good either. Take your maxalt. Go to the ER or Urgent Care if you need to later or to the doctor taking your doc/bosses calls.

Again Lynn, I'm so sorry for you and your family. You will be in my thoughts and prayers today and the days that are to follow. You will join your parents when you can.

Lynn--

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Don't hesitate to go to an Urgent Care or ER if you need to. There is only so much you can take. And migraine pain on top of this kind of sorrow makes everything that much harder. Don't worry about what ANYBODY says, no matter who they are. There will always be those who can't/won't understand.

Know you can turn here if you need us. We'll be here.
