About a year ago Andrew's father, Rob, (my ex husband) was diagnosed with a tumor on his spinal cord right at the base of his brain stuck to his spinal cord and a major artery. This was in the midst of Andrew's migraine problems. He had surgery last June, but the dr. was not successful in removing the entire tumor. His nervous system began to shut down during surgery and only a small portion of the tumor was removed. It was a lengthy recovery for him. He is having the same surgery again tomorrow. The tumor grew back completely and is getting larger. It is a very risky surgery due to the location of the tumor. If this surgery is not successful, he will have to go through radiation treatments. Andrew had planned to go to the surgery which is in Baltimore. The surgery was unexpectedly changed and he will not be able to go due to his school starting. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers. They worked. I just got a call and the surgery was very successful. They were able to get the entire tumor.
